  • Daniel 9:13 - Just as it is written in the law of Moses, so all this calamity has come on us. Still we have not tried to pacify the LORD our God by turning back from our sin and by seeking wisdom from your reliable moral standards.

  • Deuteronomy 28:45 - All these curses will fall on you, pursuing and overtaking you until you are destroyed, because you would not obey the Lord your God by keeping his commandments and statutes that he has given you.

  • Ezekiel 22:25 - Her princes within her are like a roaring lion tearing its prey; they have devoured lives. They take away riches and valuable things; they have made many women widows within it.
  • Ezekiel 22:26 - Her priests abuse my law and have desecrated my holy things. They do not distinguish between the holy and the profane, or recognize any distinction between the unclean and the clean. They ignore my Sabbaths and I am profaned in their midst.
  • Ezekiel 22:27 - Her officials are like wolves in her midst rending their prey – shedding blood and destroying lives – so they can get dishonest profit.
  • Ezekiel 22:28 - Her prophets coat their messages with whitewash. They see false visions and announce lying omens for them, saying, ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says,’ when the Lord has not spoken.
  • Ezekiel 22:29 - The people of the land have practiced extortion and committed robbery. They have wronged the poor and needy; they have oppressed the foreigner who lives among them and denied them justice.
  • Ezekiel 22:30 - “I looked for a man from among them who would repair the wall and stand in the gap before me on behalf of the land, so that I would not destroy it, but I found no one.
  • Ezekiel 22:31 - So I have poured my anger on them, and destroyed them with the fire of my fury. I hereby repay them for what they have done, declares the sovereign Lord.”
  • Deuteronomy 29:18 - Beware that the heart of no man, woman, clan, or tribe among you turns away from the Lord our God today to pursue and serve the gods of those nations; beware that there is among you no root producing poisonous and bitter fruit.
  • Deuteronomy 29:19 - When such a person hears the words of this oath he secretly blesses himself and says, “I will have peace though I continue to walk with a stubborn spirit.” This will destroy the watered ground with the parched.
  • Deuteronomy 29:20 - The Lord will be unwilling to forgive him, and his intense anger will rage against that man; all the curses written in this scroll will fall upon him and the Lord will obliterate his name from memory.
  • Deuteronomy 29:21 - The Lord will single him out for judgment from all the tribes of Israel according to all the curses of the covenant written in this scroll of the law.
  • Deuteronomy 29:22 - The generation to come – your descendants who will rise up after you, as well as the foreigner who will come from distant places – will see the afflictions of that land and the illnesses that the Lord has brought on it.
  • Deuteronomy 29:23 - The whole land will be covered with brimstone, salt, and burning debris; it will not be planted nor will it sprout or produce grass. It will resemble the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which the Lord destroyed in his intense anger.
  • Deuteronomy 29:24 - Then all the nations will ask, “Why has the Lord done all this to this land? What is this fierce, heated display of anger all about?”
  • Deuteronomy 29:25 - Then people will say, “Because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their ancestors, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt.
  • Deuteronomy 29:26 - They went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods they did not know and that he did not permit them to worship.
  • Deuteronomy 29:27 - That is why the Lord’s anger erupted against this land, bringing on it all the curses written in this scroll.
  • Deuteronomy 29:28 - So the Lord has uprooted them from their land in anger, wrath, and great rage and has deported them to another land, as is clear today.”
  • Nehemiah 9:33 - You are righteous with regard to all that has happened to us, for you have acted faithfully. It is we who have been in the wrong!
  • Nehemiah 9:34 - Our kings, our leaders, our priests, and our ancestors have not kept your law. They have not paid attention to your commandments or your testimonies by which you have solemnly admonished them.
  • Psalms 80:6 - You have made our neighbors dislike us, and our enemies insult us.
  • Micah 3:9 - Listen to this, you leaders of the family of Jacob, you rulers of the nation of Israel! You hate justice and pervert all that is right.
  • Micah 3:10 - You build Zion through bloody crimes, Jerusalem through unjust violence.
  • Micah 3:11 - Her leaders take bribes when they decide legal cases, her priests proclaim rulings for profit, and her prophets read omens for pay. Yet they claim to trust the Lord and say, “The Lord is among us. Disaster will not overtake us!”
  • Micah 3:12 - Therefore, because of you, Zion will be plowed up like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins, and the Temple Mount will become a hill overgrown with brush!
  • Deuteronomy 31:29 - For I know that after I die you will totally corrupt yourselves and turn away from the path I have commanded you to walk. Disaster will confront you in the days to come because you will act wickedly before the Lord, inciting him to anger because of your actions.”
  • Jeremiah 5:29 - I will certainly punish them for doing such things!” says the Lord. “I will certainly bring retribution on such a nation as this!
  • Deuteronomy 31:16 - Then the Lord said to Moses, “You are about to die, and then these people will begin to prostitute themselves with the foreign gods of the land into which they are going. They will reject me and break my covenant that I have made with them.
  • Deuteronomy 31:17 - At that time my anger will erupt against them and I will abandon them and hide my face from them until they are devoured. Many disasters and distresses will overcome them so that they will say at that time, ‘Have not these disasters overcome us because our God is not among us ?’
  • Deuteronomy 31:18 - But I will certainly hide myself at that time because of all the wickedness they will have done by turning to other gods.
  • Jeremiah 44:21 - “The Lord did indeed remember and call to mind what you did! He remembered the sacrifices you and your ancestors, your kings, your leaders, and all the rest of the people of the land offered to other gods in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem.
  • Jeremiah 44:22 - Finally the Lord could no longer endure your wicked deeds and the disgusting things you did. That is why your land has become the desolate, uninhabited ruin that it is today. That is why it has become a proverbial example used in curses.
  • Jeremiah 5:3 - Lord, I know you look for faithfulness. But even when you punish these people, they feel no remorse. Even when you nearly destroy them, they refuse to be corrected. They have become as hardheaded as a rock. They refuse to change their ways.
  • Jeremiah 5:4 - I thought, “Surely it is only the ignorant poor who act this way. They act like fools because they do not know what the Lord demands. They do not know what their God requires of them.
  • Jeremiah 5:5 - I will go to the leaders and speak with them. Surely they know what the Lord demands. Surely they know what their God requires of them.” Yet all of them, too, have rejected his authority and refuse to submit to him.
  • Jeremiah 5:6 - So like a lion from the thicket their enemies will kill them. Like a wolf from the desert they will destroy them. Like a leopard they will lie in wait outside their cities and totally destroy anyone who ventures out. For they have rebelled so much and done so many unfaithful things.
  • Jeremiah 5:7 - The Lord asked, “How can I leave you unpunished, Jerusalem? Your people have rejected me and have worshiped gods that are not gods at all. Even though I supplied all their needs, they were like an unfaithful wife to me. They went flocking to the houses of prostitutes.
  • Jeremiah 5:8 - They are like lusty, well-fed stallions. Each of them lusts after his neighbor’s wife.
  • Jeremiah 5:9 - I will surely punish them for doing such things!” says the Lord. “I will surely bring retribution on such a nation as this!”
  • Lamentations 2:17 - The Lord has done what he planned; he has fulfilled his promise that he threatened long ago: He has overthrown you without mercy and has enabled the enemy to gloat over you; he has exalted your adversaries’ power. צ (Tsade)
  • Zephaniah 3:1 - The filthy, stained city is as good as dead; the city filled with oppressors is finished!
  • Zephaniah 3:2 - She is disobedient; she refuses correction. She does not trust the Lord; she does not seek the advice of her God.
  • Zephaniah 3:3 - Her princes are as fierce as roaring lions; her rulers are as hungry as wolves in the desert, who completely devour their prey by morning.
  • Zephaniah 3:4 - Her prophets are proud; they are deceitful men. Her priests defile what is holy; they break God’s laws.
  • Zephaniah 3:5 - The just Lord resides within her; he commits no unjust acts. Every morning he reveals his justice. At dawn he appears without fail. Yet the unjust know no shame.
  • Zephaniah 3:6 - “I destroyed nations; their walled cities are in ruins. I turned their streets into ruins; no one passes through them. Their cities are desolate; no one lives there.
  • Zephaniah 3:7 - I thought, ‘Certainly you will respect me! Now you will accept correction!’ If she had done so, her home would not be destroyed by all the punishments I have threatened. But they eagerly sinned in everything they did.
  • Zephaniah 3:8 - Therefore you must wait patiently for me,” says the Lord, “for the day when I attack and take plunder. I have decided to gather nations together and assemble kingdoms, so I can pour out my fury on them – all my raging anger. For the whole earth will be consumed by my fiery anger.
  • Leviticus 26:15 - if you reject my statutes and abhor my regulations so that you do not keep all my commandments and you break my covenant –
  • Leviticus 26:16 - I for my part will do this to you: I will inflict horror on you, consumption and fever, which diminish eyesight and drain away the vitality of life. You will sow your seed in vain because your enemies will eat it.
  • Leviticus 26:17 - I will set my face against you. You will be struck down before your enemies, those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when there is no one pursuing you.
  • Leviticus 26:18 - “‘If, in spite of all these things, you do not obey me, I will discipline you seven times more on account of your sins.
  • Leviticus 26:19 - I will break your strong pride and make your sky like iron and your land like bronze.
  • Leviticus 26:20 - Your strength will be used up in vain, your land will not give its yield, and the trees of the land will not produce their fruit.
  • Leviticus 26:21 - “‘If you walk in hostility against me and are not willing to obey me, I will increase your affliction seven times according to your sins.
  • Leviticus 26:22 - I will send the wild animals against you and they will bereave you of your children, annihilate your cattle, and diminish your population so that your roads will become deserted.
  • Leviticus 26:23 - “‘If in spite of these things you do not allow yourselves to be disciplined and you walk in hostility against me,
  • Leviticus 26:24 - I myself will also walk in hostility against you and strike you seven times on account of your sins.
  • Leviticus 26:25 - I will bring on you an avenging sword, a covenant vengeance. Although you will gather together into your cities, I will send pestilence among you and you will be given into enemy hands.
  • Leviticus 26:26 - When I break off your supply of bread, ten women will bake your bread in one oven; they will ration your bread by weight, and you will eat and not be satisfied.
  • Leviticus 26:27 - “‘If in spite of this you do not obey me but walk in hostility against me,
  • Leviticus 26:28 - I will walk in hostile rage against you and I myself will also discipline you seven times on account of your sins.
  • Leviticus 26:29 - You will eat the flesh of your sons and the flesh of your daughters.
  • Leviticus 26:30 - I will destroy your high places and cut down your incense altars, and I will stack your dead bodies on top of the lifeless bodies of your idols. I will abhor you.
  • Leviticus 26:31 - I will lay your cities waste and make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will refuse to smell your soothing aromas.
  • Leviticus 26:32 - I myself will make the land desolate and your enemies who live in it will be appalled.
  • Leviticus 26:33 - I will scatter you among the nations and unsheathe the sword after you, so your land will become desolate and your cities will become a waste.
  • Leviticus 26:34 - “‘Then the land will make up for its Sabbaths all the days it lies desolate while you are in the land of your enemies; then the land will rest and make up its Sabbaths.
  • Leviticus 26:35 - All the days of the desolation it will have the rest it did not have on your Sabbaths when you lived on it.
  • Leviticus 26:36 - “‘As for the ones who remain among you, I will bring despair into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. The sound of a blowing leaf will pursue them, and they will flee as one who flees the sword and fall down even though there is no pursuer.
  • Leviticus 26:37 - They will stumble over each other as those who flee before a sword, though there is no pursuer, and there will be no one to take a stand for you before your enemies.
  • Leviticus 26:38 - You will perish among the nations; the land of your enemies will consume you.
  • Leviticus 26:39 - “‘As for the ones who remain among you, they will rot away because of their iniquity in the lands of your enemies, and they will also rot away because of their ancestors’ iniquities which are with them.
  • Leviticus 26:40 - However, when they confess their iniquity and their ancestors’ iniquity which they committed by trespassing against me, by which they also walked in hostility against me
  • Leviticus 26:41 - (and I myself will walk in hostility against them and bring them into the land of their enemies), and then their uncircumcised hearts become humbled and they make up for their iniquity,
  • Leviticus 26:42 - I will remember my covenant with Jacob and also my covenant with Isaac and also my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.
  • Leviticus 26:43 - The land will be abandoned by them in order that it may make up for its Sabbaths while it is made desolate without them, and they will make up for their iniquity because they have rejected my regulations and have abhorred my statutes.
  • Leviticus 26:44 - In spite of this, however, when they are in the land of their enemies I will not reject them and abhor them to make a complete end of them, to break my covenant with them, for I am the Lord their God.
  • Leviticus 26:45 - I will remember for them the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought out from the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their God. I am the Lord.’”
  • Leviticus 26:46 - These are the statutes, regulations, and instructions which the Lord established between himself and the Israelites at Mount Sinai through Moses.
  • Daniel 9:7 - “You are righteous, O Lord, but we are humiliated this day – the people of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, both near and far away in all the countries in which you have scattered them, because they have behaved unfaithfully toward you.
  • Daniel 9:8 - O LORD, we have been humiliated – our kings, our leaders, and our ancestors – because we have sinned against you.
  • Daniel 9:9 - Yet the Lord our God is compassionate and forgiving, even though we have rebelled against him.
  • Daniel 9:10 - We have not obeyed the LORD our God by living according to his laws that he set before us through his servants the prophets.
  • Daniel 9:11 - “All Israel has broken your law and turned away by not obeying you. Therefore you have poured out on us the judgment solemnly threatened in the law of Moses the servant of God, for we have sinned against you.
  • Daniel 9:12 - He has carried out his threats against us and our rulers who were over us by bringing great calamity on us – what has happened to Jerusalem has never been equaled under all heaven!
  • Daniel 9:13 - Just as it is written in the law of Moses, so all this calamity has come on us. Still we have not tried to pacify the LORD our God by turning back from our sin and by seeking wisdom from your reliable moral standards.
  • Daniel 9:14 - The LORD was mindful of the calamity, and he brought it on us. For the LORD our God is just in all he has done, and we have not obeyed him.
  • Daniel 9:15 - “Now, O Lord our God, who brought your people out of the land of Egypt with great power and made a name for yourself that is remembered to this day – we have sinned and behaved wickedly.
  • Daniel 9:16 - O Lord, according to all your justice, please turn your raging anger away from your city Jerusalem, your holy mountain. For due to our sins and the iniquities of our ancestors, Jerusalem and your people are mocked by all our neighbors.
  • Deuteronomy 28:15 - “But if you ignore the Lord your God and are not careful to keep all his commandments and statutes I am giving you today, then all these curses will come upon you in full force:
  • Deuteronomy 28:16 - You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the field.
  • Deuteronomy 28:17 - Your basket and your mixing bowl will be cursed.
  • Deuteronomy 28:18 - Your children will be cursed, as well as the produce of your soil, the calves of your herds, and the lambs of your flocks.
  • Deuteronomy 28:19 - You will be cursed when you come in and cursed when you go out.
  • Deuteronomy 28:20 - “The Lord will send on you a curse, confusing you and opposing you in everything you undertake until you are destroyed and quickly perish because of the evil of your deeds, in that you have forsaken me.
  • Deuteronomy 28:21 - The Lord will plague you with deadly diseases until he has completely removed you from the land you are about to possess.
  • Deuteronomy 28:22 - He will afflict you with weakness, fever, inflammation, infection, sword, blight, and mildew; these will attack you until you perish.
  • Deuteronomy 28:23 - The sky above your heads will be bronze and the earth beneath you iron.
  • Deuteronomy 28:24 - The Lord will make the rain of your land powder and dust; it will come down on you from the sky until you are destroyed.
  • Deuteronomy 28:25 - “The Lord will allow you to be struck down before your enemies; you will attack them from one direction but flee from them in seven directions and will become an object of terror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
  • Deuteronomy 28:26 - Your carcasses will be food for every bird of the sky and wild animal of the earth, and there will be no one to chase them off.
  • Deuteronomy 28:27 - The Lord will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, eczema, and scabies, all of which cannot be healed.
  • Deuteronomy 28:28 - The Lord will also subject you to madness, blindness, and confusion of mind.
  • Deuteronomy 28:29 - You will feel your way along at noon like the blind person does in darkness and you will not succeed in anything you do; you will be constantly oppressed and continually robbed, with no one to save you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:30 - You will be engaged to a woman and another man will rape her. You will build a house but not live in it. You will plant a vineyard but not even begin to use it.
  • Deuteronomy 28:31 - Your ox will be slaughtered before your very eyes but you will not eat of it. Your donkey will be stolen from you as you watch and will not be returned to you. Your flock of sheep will be given to your enemies and there will be no one to save you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:32 - Your sons and daughters will be given to another people while you look on in vain all day, and you will be powerless to do anything about it.
  • Deuteronomy 28:33 - As for the produce of your land and all your labor, a people you do not know will consume it, and you will be nothing but oppressed and crushed for the rest of your lives.
  • Deuteronomy 28:34 - You will go insane from seeing all this.
  • Deuteronomy 28:35 - The Lord will afflict you in your knees and on your legs with painful, incurable boils – from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.
  • Deuteronomy 28:36 - The Lord will force you and your king whom you will appoint over you to go away to a people whom you and your ancestors have not known, and you will serve other gods of wood and stone there.
  • Deuteronomy 28:37 - You will become an occasion of horror, a proverb, and an object of ridicule to all the peoples to whom the Lord will drive you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:38 - “You will take much seed to the field but gather little harvest, because locusts will consume it.
  • Deuteronomy 28:39 - You will plant vineyards and cultivate them, but you will not drink wine or gather in grapes, because worms will eat them.
  • Deuteronomy 28:40 - You will have olive trees throughout your territory but you will not anoint yourself with olive oil, because the olives will drop off the trees while still unripe.
  • Deuteronomy 28:41 - You will bear sons and daughters but not keep them, because they will be taken into captivity.
  • Deuteronomy 28:42 - Whirring locusts will take over every tree and all the produce of your soil.
  • Deuteronomy 28:43 - The foreigners who reside among you will become higher and higher over you and you will become lower and lower.
  • Deuteronomy 28:44 - They will lend to you but you will not lend to them; they will become the head and you will become the tail!
  • Deuteronomy 28:45 - All these curses will fall on you, pursuing and overtaking you until you are destroyed, because you would not obey the Lord your God by keeping his commandments and statutes that he has given you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:46 - These curses will be a perpetual sign and wonder with reference to you and your descendants.
  • Deuteronomy 28:47 - “Because you have not served the Lord your God joyfully and wholeheartedly with the abundance of everything you have,
  • Deuteronomy 28:48 - instead in hunger, thirst, nakedness, and poverty you will serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you. They will place an iron yoke on your neck until they have destroyed you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:49 - The Lord will raise up a distant nation against you, one from the other side of the earth as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand,
  • Deuteronomy 28:50 - a nation of stern appearance that will have no regard for the elderly or pity for the young.
  • Deuteronomy 28:51 - They will devour the offspring of your livestock and the produce of your soil until you are destroyed. They will not leave you with any grain, new wine, olive oil, calves of your herds, or lambs of your flocks until they have destroyed you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:52 - They will besiege all of your villages until all of your high and fortified walls collapse – those in which you put your confidence throughout the land. They will besiege all your villages throughout the land the Lord your God has given you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:53 - You will then eat your own offspring, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you, because of the severity of the siege by which your enemies will constrict you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:54 - The man among you who is by nature tender and sensitive will turn against his brother, his beloved wife, and his remaining children.
  • Deuteronomy 28:55 - He will withhold from all of them his children’s flesh that he is eating (since there is nothing else left), because of the severity of the siege by which your enemy will constrict you in your villages.
  • Deuteronomy 28:56 - Likewise, the most tender and delicate of your women, who would never think of putting even the sole of her foot on the ground because of her daintiness, will turn against her beloved husband, her sons and daughters,
  • Deuteronomy 28:57 - and will secretly eat her afterbirth and her newborn children (since she has nothing else), because of the severity of the siege by which your enemy will constrict you in your villages.
  • Deuteronomy 28:58 - “If you refuse to obey all the words of this law, the things written in this scroll, and refuse to fear this glorious and awesome name, the Lord your God,
  • Deuteronomy 28:59 - then the Lord will increase your punishments and those of your descendants – great and long-lasting afflictions and severe, enduring illnesses.
  • Deuteronomy 28:60 - He will infect you with all the diseases of Egypt that you dreaded, and they will persistently afflict you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:61 - Moreover, the Lord will bring upon you every kind of sickness and plague not mentioned in this scroll of commandments, until you have perished.
  • Deuteronomy 28:62 - There will be very few of you left, though at one time you were as numerous as the stars in the sky, because you will have disobeyed the Lord your God.
  • Deuteronomy 28:63 - This is what will happen: Just as the Lord delighted to do good for you and make you numerous, he will take delight in destroying and decimating you. You will be uprooted from the land you are about to possess.
  • Deuteronomy 28:64 - The Lord will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods that neither you nor your ancestors have known, gods of wood and stone.
  • Deuteronomy 28:65 - Among those nations you will have no rest nor will there be a place of peaceful rest for the soles of your feet, for there the Lord will give you an anxious heart, failing eyesight, and a spirit of despair.
  • Deuteronomy 28:66 - Your life will hang in doubt before you; you will be terrified by night and day and will have no certainty of surviving from one day to the next.
  • Deuteronomy 28:67 - In the morning you will say, ‘If only it were evening!’ And in the evening you will say, ‘I wish it were morning!’ because of the things you will fear and the things you will see.
  • Deuteronomy 28:68 - Then the Lord will make you return to Egypt by ship, over a route I said to you that you would never see again. There you will sell yourselves to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.”
  • Deuteronomy 32:15 - But Jeshurun became fat and kicked, you got fat, thick, and stuffed! Then he deserted the God who made him, and treated the Rock who saved him with contempt.
  • Deuteronomy 32:16 - They made him jealous with other gods, they enraged him with abhorrent idols.
  • Deuteronomy 32:17 - They sacrificed to demons, not God, to gods they had not known; to new gods who had recently come along, gods your ancestors had not known about.
  • Deuteronomy 32:18 - You have forgotten the Rock who fathered you, and put out of mind the God who gave you birth.
  • Deuteronomy 32:19 - But the Lord took note and despised them because his sons and daughters enraged him.
  • Deuteronomy 32:20 - He said, “I will reject them, I will see what will happen to them; for they are a perverse generation, children who show no loyalty.
  • Deuteronomy 32:21 - They have made me jealous with false gods, enraging me with their worthless gods; so I will make them jealous with a people they do not recognize, with a nation slow to learn I will enrage them.
  • Deuteronomy 32:22 - For a fire has been kindled by my anger, and it burns to lowest Sheol; it consumes the earth and its produce, and ignites the foundations of the mountains.
  • Deuteronomy 32:23 - I will increase their disasters, I will use up my arrows on them.
  • Deuteronomy 32:24 - They will be starved by famine, eaten by plague, and bitterly stung; I will send the teeth of wild animals against them, along with the poison of creatures that crawl in the dust.
  • Deuteronomy 32:25 - The sword will make people childless outside, and terror will do so inside; they will destroy both the young man and the virgin, the infant and the gray-haired man.
  • Deuteronomy 32:26 - “I said, ‘I want to cut them in pieces. I want to make people forget they ever existed.
  • Deuteronomy 32:27 - But I fear the reaction of their enemies, for their adversaries would misunderstand and say, “Our power is great, and the Lord has not done all this!”’
  • Psalms 89:42 - You have allowed his adversaries to be victorious, and all his enemies to rejoice.
  • Deuteronomy 4:25 - After you have produced children and grandchildren and have been in the land a long time, if you become corrupt and make an image of any kind and do other evil things before the Lord your God that enrage him,
  • Deuteronomy 4:26 - I invoke heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that you will surely and swiftly be removed from the very land you are about to cross the Jordan to possess. You will not last long there because you will surely be annihilated.
  • Deuteronomy 4:27 - Then the Lord will scatter you among the peoples and there will be very few of you among the nations where the Lord will drive you.
  • Jeremiah 52:27 - The king of Babylon ordered them to be executed at Riblah in the territory of Hamath. So Judah was taken into exile away from its land.
