  • 1 Timothy 5:6 - But the widow who lives only for pleasure is spiritually dead even while she lives.
  • Ephesians 5:14 - for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”

  • Ephesians 2:1 - Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins.
  • Luke 19:10 - For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.”
  • Luke 15:4 - “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?
  • Colossians 2:13 - You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.
  • Ephesians 2:5 - that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)
