2 Corinthians 4:6 - God said, “Let light shine out of darkness.” ( Genesis 1:3 ) He made his light shine in our hearts. His light gives us the light to know God’s glory. His glory is shown in the face of Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:7 - Treasure is kept in clay jars. In the same way, we have the treasure of the good news in these earthly bodies of ours. That shows that the mighty power of the good news comes from God. It doesn’t come from us.
Ephesians 3:8 - I am by far the least important of all the Lord’s holy people. But he gave me the grace to preach to the Gentiles about the unlimited riches that Christ gives.
Luke 11:49 - So God in his wisdom said, ‘I will send prophets and apostles to them. They will kill some. And they will try to hurt others.’

Matthew 12:35 - A good man says good things. These come from the good that is stored up inside him. An evil man says evil things. These come from the evil that is stored up inside him.
2 Corinthians 3:4 - Through Christ, we can be sure of this before God.
2 Corinthians 3:5 - In ourselves we are not able to claim anything for ourselves. The power to do what we do comes from God.
2 Corinthians 3:6 - He has given us the power to serve under a new covenant. The covenant is not based on the written Law of Moses. It comes from the Holy Spirit. The written Law kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Titus 1:9 - The message as it has been taught can be trusted. He must hold firmly to it. Then he will be able to use true teaching to comfort others and build them up. He will be able to prove that people who oppose it are wrong.
Titus 2:6 - In the same way, help the young men to control themselves.
Titus 2:7 - Do what is good. Set an example for them in everything. When you teach, be honest and serious.
Proverbs 18:4 - The words of a person’s mouth are like deep water. But the fountain of wisdom is like a flowing stream.
Matthew 23:34 - So I am sending you prophets, wise people, and teachers. You will kill some of them. You will nail some to a cross. Others you will whip in your synagogues. You will chase them from town to town.

2 Timothy 3:16 - God has breathed life into all Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right.
2 Timothy 3:17 - By using Scripture, the servant of God can be completely prepared to do every good thing.
Proverbs 15:7 - The lips of wise people spread knowledge. But the hearts of foolish people are not honest.
1 John 2:7 - Dear friends, I’m not writing you a new command. Instead, I’m writing one you have heard before. You have had it since the beginning.
