Amos 7:17 - Therefore, thus says the Lord, ‘Your wife shall become a prostitute in the city [when the Assyrians capture Samaria] and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by a measuring line; you yourself shall die in an unclean and defiled [pagan] land, and Israel shall certainly go from its land into exile.’ ”
Matthew 23:16 - “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears [an oath] by the sanctuary of the temple, that is nothing (non-binding); but whoever swears [an oath] by the gold of the temple is obligated [as a debtor to fulfill his vow and keep his promise].’
Matthew 23:17 - You fools and blind men! Which is more important, the gold or the sanctuary of the temple that sanctified the gold?

Mark 7:13 - so you nullify the [authority of the] word of God [acting as if it did not apply] because of your tradition which you have handed down [through the elders]. And you do many things such as that.”
Acts 5:29 - Then Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than men [we have no other choice].
