Acts 18:17 - Then the crowd there turned on Sosthenes the synagogue leader and beat him in front of the proconsul; and Gallio showed no concern whatever.
2 Kings 24:4 - including the shedding of innocent blood. For he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, and the Lord was not willing to forgive.
Luke 23:22 - For the third time he spoke to them: “Why? What crime has this man committed? I have found in him no grounds for the death penalty. Therefore I will have him punished and then release him.”
Genesis 42:21 - They said to one another, “Surely we are being punished because of our brother. We saw how distressed he was when he pleaded with us for his life, but we would not listen; that’s why this distress has come on us.”
Genesis 42:22 - Reuben replied, “Didn’t I tell you not to sin against the boy? But you wouldn’t listen! Now we must give an accounting for his blood.”
Titus 1:16 - They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.
1 Timothy 4:2 - Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.
Matthew 27:23 - “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”
Matthew 27:24 - When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “It is your responsibility!”
Matthew 27:25 - All the people answered, “His blood is on us and on our children!”
1 Peter 1:19 - but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
1 John 3:12 - Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous.
