  • Daniel 4:27 - Therefore, O king, may my advice be pleasing to you. Break away from your sins by doing what is right, and from your iniquities by showing mercy to the poor. Perhaps your prosperity will be prolonged.”

  • 2 Chronicles 24:21 - They plotted against him and by royal decree stoned him to death in the courtyard of the Lord’s temple.
  • 2 Chronicles 24:22 - King Joash disregarded the loyalty his father Jehoiada had shown him and killed Jehoiada’s son. As Zechariah was dying, he said, “May the Lord take notice and seek vengeance!”
  • Psalms 106:12 - They believed his promises; they sang praises to him.
  • Psalms 106:13 - They quickly forgot what he had done; they did not wait for his instructions.
  • Ezekiel 2:5 - And as for them, whether they listen or not – for they are a rebellious house – they will know that a prophet has been among them.
  • Ezekiel 2:6 - But you, son of man, do not fear them, and do not fear their words – even though briers and thorns surround you and you live among scorpions – do not fear their words and do not be terrified of the looks they give you, for they are a rebellious house!
