Vorher hatte man dort das Mehl für die Speiseopfer aufbewahrt, ebenso Weihrauch, die Gegenstände für den Tempeldienst und den zehnten Teil vom Getreide, vom neuen Wein und Olivenöl, der für die Leviten, Sänger und Torwächter bestimmt war. Auch der Anteil für die Priester war hier gelagert worden.
5. Mose 18:4 - Ihr müsst den Priestern auch jedes Jahr den ersten Teil eurer Ernte geben, von eurem Getreide, Most und Öl. Auch die erste Schur eurer Schafe gehört ihnen.
4. Mose 18:21 - Den Leviten gebe ich als Lohn für ihren Dienst den zehnten Teil der Ernte, den die Israeliten zum Heiligtum bringen.
3. Mose 23:17 - Jede Familie gibt zwei Brote, die jeweils aus zweieinhalb Kilogramm feinem Weizenmehl mit Sauerteig gebacken wurden. Diese Opfergaben, die ihr mir weihen sollt, müssen vom ersten Getreide genommen werden.

New International Reader's Version - “We will also bring the first part of the meal we grind. We’ll bring the first of our grain offerings. We’ll bring the first share of fruit from all our trees. And we’ll bring the first share of our olive oil and fresh wine. We’ll give all those things to the priests. They’ll put them in the storerooms of the house of our God. And we’ll give a tenth of our crops to the Levites. They collect the tenth shares. They do it in all the towns where we work.

1. Könige 6:5 - Um die beiden Seitenwände und die Hinterwand baute er einen dreistöckigen Rundgang, der in einzelne Kammern unterteilt war.
1. Könige 6:6 - Das untere Stockwerk war 2,5 Meter breit, das mittlere 3 Meter und das oberste 3,5 Meter. Mit jedem höher gelegenen Stockwerk trat die Tempelmauer etwas mehr zurück. Dadurch entstanden Mauervorsprünge, auf denen man die tragenden Querbalken der Stockwerke abstützen konnte. So mussten die Balken nicht in der eigentlichen Tempelmauer verankert werden.

1. Könige 6:8 - In das untere Stockwerk des Rundgangs kam man durch eine Tür an der rechten Tempelseite. Von dort führte eine Wendeltreppe zum mittleren und oberen Stockwerk hinauf.
1. Könige 6:9 - Nachdem das Mauerwerk errichtet war, ließ Salomo das Gebäude mit einem Flachdach versehen, das mit Balken und Brettern aus Zedernholz gedeckt wurde.
1. Könige 6:10 - Den Rundgang verband er durch Zedernbalken mit der Tempelmauer. Die drei Stockwerke waren jeweils 2,5 Meter hoch.

Nehemia 13:5 - erlaubt, eine große Kammer im Tempel für sich zu benutzen. Vorher hatte man dort das Mehl für die Speiseopfer aufbewahrt, ebenso Weihrauch, die Gegenstände für den Tempeldienst und den zehnten Teil vom Getreide, vom neuen Wein und Olivenöl, der für die Leviten, Sänger und Torwächter bestimmt war. Auch der Anteil für die Priester war hier gelagert worden.
5. Mose 18:4 - Ihr müsst den Priestern auch jedes Jahr den ersten Teil eurer Ernte geben, von eurem Getreide, Most und Öl. Auch die erste Schur eurer Schafe gehört ihnen.
4. Mose 18:21 - Den Leviten gebe ich als Lohn für ihren Dienst den zehnten Teil der Ernte, den die Israeliten zum Heiligtum bringen.
3. Mose 23:17 - Jede Familie gibt zwei Brote, die jeweils aus zweieinhalb Kilogramm feinem Weizenmehl mit Sauerteig gebacken wurden. Diese Opfergaben, die ihr mir weihen sollt, müssen vom ersten Getreide genommen werden.
