  • Numbers 25:7 - When Phinehas son of Eleazar and grandson of Aaron the priest saw this, he jumped up and left the assembly. He took a spear
  • Numbers 25:8 - and rushed after the man into his tent. Phinehas thrust the spear all the way through the man’s body and into the woman’s stomach. So the plague against the Israelites was stopped,
  • Numbers 25:9 - but not before 24,000 people had died.
  • Numbers 25:10 - Then the Lord said to Moses,
  • Numbers 25:11 - “Phinehas son of Eleazar and grandson of Aaron the priest has turned my anger away from the Israelites by being as zealous among them as I was. So I stopped destroying all Israel as I had intended to do in my zealous anger.
  • Numbers 25:12 - Now tell him that I am making my special covenant of peace with him.
  • Numbers 25:13 - In this covenant, I give him and his descendants a permanent right to the priesthood, for in his zeal for me, his God, he purified the people of Israel, making them right with me. ”
  • Joshua 6:13 - The seven priests with the rams’ horns marched in front of the Ark of the Lord, blowing their horns. Again the armed men marched both in front of the priests with the horns and behind the Ark of the Lord. All this time the priests were blowing their horns.
  • Joshua 6:14 - On the second day they again marched around the town once and returned to the camp. They followed this pattern for six days.
  • Joshua 6:15 - On the seventh day the Israelites got up at dawn and marched around the town as they had done before. But this time they went around the town seven times.
  • 1 Samuel 14:18 - Then Saul shouted to Ahijah, “Bring the ephod here!” For at that time Ahijah was wearing the ephod in front of the Israelites.
  • 1 Samuel 4:4 - So they sent men to Shiloh to bring the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, who is enthroned between the cherubim. Hophni and Phinehas, the sons of Eli, were also there with the Ark of the Covenant of God.
  • 1 Samuel 4:5 - When all the Israelites saw the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord coming into the camp, their shout of joy was so loud it made the ground shake!
  • Exodus 25:9 - You must build this Tabernacle and its furnishings exactly according to the pattern I will show you.
  • 2 Chronicles 13:12 - So you see, God is with us. He is our leader. His priests blow their trumpets and lead us into battle against you. O people of Israel, do not fight against the Lord, the God of your ancestors, for you will not succeed!”
  • 2 Chronicles 13:13 - Meanwhile, Jeroboam had secretly sent part of his army around behind the men of Judah to ambush them.
  • 2 Chronicles 13:14 - When Judah realized that they were being attacked from the front and the rear, they cried out to the Lord for help. Then the priests blew the trumpets,
  • 2 Chronicles 13:15 - and the men of Judah began to shout. At the sound of their battle cry, God defeated Jeroboam and all Israel and routed them before Abijah and the army of Judah.
  • Numbers 10:8 - Only the priests, Aaron’s descendants, are allowed to blow the trumpets. This is a permanent law for you, to be observed from generation to generation.
  • Numbers 10:9 - “When you arrive in your own land and go to war against your enemies who attack you, sound the alarm with the trumpets. Then the Lord your God will remember you and rescue you from your enemies.
  • Numbers 14:44 - But the people defiantly pushed ahead toward the hill country, even though neither Moses nor the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant left the camp.
