Numbers 4:16 - And the charge of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the continual meal-offering, and the anointing oil, the charge of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, the sanctuary, and the furniture thereof.
Numbers 4:17 - And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
Numbers 4:18 - Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites;
Numbers 4:19 - but thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden;
Numbers 4:20 - but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die.

Numbers 3:23 - The families of the Gershonites shall encamp behind the tabernacle westward.
Numbers 3:24 - And the prince of the fathers’ house of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael.
Numbers 3:25 - And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting shall be the tabernacle, and the Tent, the covering thereof, and the screen for the door of the tent of meeting,

1 Chronicles 25:1 - Moreover David and the captains of the host set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of them that did the work according to their service was:
1 Chronicles 25:2 - of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied after the order of the king.
1 Chronicles 25:3 - Of Jeduthun; the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising Jehovah.

Numbers 4:10 - and they shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of sealskin, and shall put it upon the frame.
Numbers 4:11 - And upon the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in the staves thereof:
Numbers 4:12 - and they shall take all the vessels of ministry, wherewith they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of sealskin, and shall put them on the frame.
Numbers 4:13 - And they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon:
Numbers 4:14 - and they shall put upon it all the vessels thereof, wherewith they minister about it, the firepans, the flesh-hooks, and the shovels, and the basins, all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread upon it a covering of sealskin, and put in the staves thereof.
Numbers 4:15 - And when Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the sanctuary, and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp is set forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear it: but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting.
Numbers 4:16 - And the charge of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the oil for the light, and the sweet incense, and the continual meal-offering, and the anointing oil, the charge of all the tabernacle, and of all that therein is, the sanctuary, and the furniture thereof.
Numbers 4:17 - And Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
Numbers 4:18 - Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites;
Numbers 4:19 - but thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden;
Numbers 4:20 - but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die.
Numbers 4:21 - And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
Numbers 4:22 - Take the sum of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers’ houses, by their families;

Numbers 4:24 - This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens:

Numbers 4:26 - and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatsoever shall be done with them: therein shall they serve.
Numbers 4:27 - At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burden, and in all their service; and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burden.
Numbers 4:28 - This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the tent of meeting: and their charge shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest.
Numbers 4:29 - As for the sons of Merari, thou shalt number them by their families, by their fathers’ houses;

1 Chronicles 23:9 - The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, and Haziel, and Haran, three. These were the heads of the fathers’ houses of Ladan.
1 Chronicles 23:10 - And the sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, and Jeush, and Beriah. These four were the sons of Shimei.
1 Chronicles 23:11 - And Jahath was the chief, and Zizah the second: but Jeush and Beriah had not many sons; therefore they became a fathers’ house in one reckoning.

1 Chronicles 23:13 - The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses; and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons, for ever, to burn incense before Jehovah, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, for ever.
1 Chronicles 23:14 - But as for Moses the man of God, his sons were named among the tribe of Levi.

1 Chronicles 23:25 - For David said, Jehovah, the God of Israel, hath given rest unto his people; and he dwelleth in Jerusalem for ever:
1 Chronicles 23:26 - and also the Levites shall no more have need to carry the tabernacle and all the vessels of it for the service thereof.
1 Chronicles 23:27 - For by the last words of David the sons of Levi were numbered, from twenty years old and upward.
1 Chronicles 23:28 - For their office was to wait on the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of Jehovah, in the courts, and in the chambers, and in the purifying of all holy things, even the work of the service of the house of God;
1 Chronicles 23:29 - for the showbread also, and for the fine flour for a meal-offering, whether of unleavened wafers, or of that which is baked in the pan, or of that which is soaked, and for all manner of measure and size;
1 Chronicles 23:30 - and to stand every morning to thank and praise Jehovah, and likewise at even;
1 Chronicles 23:31 - and to offer all burnt-offerings unto Jehovah, on the sabbaths, on the new moons, and on the set feasts, in number according to the ordinance concerning them, continually before Jehovah;
1 Chronicles 23:32 - and that they should keep the charge of the tent of meeting, and the charge of the holy place, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, for the service of the house of Jehovah.
Numbers 3:23 - The families of the Gershonites shall encamp behind the tabernacle westward.
Numbers 3:24 - And the prince of the fathers’ house of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael.
Numbers 3:25 - And the charge of the sons of Gershon in the tent of meeting shall be the tabernacle, and the Tent, the covering thereof, and the screen for the door of the tent of meeting,
Numbers 3:26 - and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof.
Numbers 3:27 - And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites.
Numbers 3:28 - According to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were eight thousand and six hundred, keeping the charge of the sanctuary.
Numbers 3:29 - The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle southward.
Numbers 3:30 - And the prince of the fathers’ house of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel.
Numbers 3:31 - And their charge shall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they minister, and the screen, and all the service thereof.
Numbers 3:32 - And Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be prince of the princes of the Levites, and have the oversight of them that keep the charge of the sanctuary.
Numbers 3:33 - Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites: these are the families of Merari.
Numbers 3:34 - And those that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand and two hundred.
Numbers 3:35 - And the prince of the fathers’ house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail: they shall encamp on the side of the tabernacle northward.
