Job 21:19 - People say, ‘God stores up the punishment of evil people for their children.’ But let God punish the evil people themselves. Then they’ll learn a lesson from it.
Job 21:20 - Let their own eyes see how they are destroyed. Let them drink the wine of the Mighty One’s anger.
Job 21:21 - What do they care about the families they leave behind? What do they care about them when their lives come to an end?

Job 21:27 - “I know exactly what you people are thinking. I know you are planning to do bad things to me.
Job 21:28 - You are saying to yourselves, ‘Where is the great man’s house now? Where are the tents where his evil family lived?’
Job 21:29 - Haven’t you ever asked questions of those who travel? Haven’t you paid any attention to their stories?
Job 21:30 - They’ll tell you that sinful people are spared from the day of trouble. They’ll say that those people are saved from the day when God will judge.
Job 21:31 - Who speaks against them for the way they act? Who pays them back for what they’ve done?
Job 21:32 - Their bodies will be carried to their graves. Guards will watch over their tombs.
Job 21:33 - The soil in the valley will be pleasant to those who have died. Many people will walk along behind their bodies. Many others will walk in front of them.
Job 21:34 - “So how can you comfort me with your speeches? They don’t make any sense at all. Your answers are nothing but lies!”
Psalm 50:8 - I don’t bring charges against you because of your sacrifices. I don’t bring charges because of the burnt offerings you always bring me.
Jonah 1:11 - The sea was getting rougher and rougher. So they asked him, “What should we do to you to make the sea calm down?”
Isaiah 10:13 - The king of Assyria says, “ ‘By my power I have taken over all these nations. I am very wise. I have great understanding. I have wiped out the borders between nations. I’ve taken their treasures. Like a great hero I’ve brought their kings under my control.
Isaiah 10:14 - I’ve taken the wealth of the nations. It was as easy as reaching into a bird’s nest. I’ve gathered the riches of all these countries. It was as easy as gathering eggs that have been left in a nest. Not a single baby bird flapped its wings. Not one of them opened its mouth to chirp.’ ”
Psalm 73:3 - I saw that proud and sinful people were doing well. And I began to long for what they had.
Psalm 73:4 - They don’t have any troubles. Their bodies are healthy and strong.
Psalm 73:5 - They don’t have the problems most people have. They don’t suffer as other people do.
Psalm 73:6 - Their pride is like a necklace. They put on meanness as if it were their clothes.
Psalm 73:7 - Many sins come out of their hard and stubborn hearts. There is no limit to the evil things they can think up.
Psalm 73:8 - They laugh at others and speak words of hatred. They are proud. They warn others about the harm they can do to them.
Psalm 73:9 - They brag as if they owned heaven itself. They talk as if they controlled the earth.
Psalm 73:10 - So people listen to them. They lap up their words like water.
Psalm 73:11 - They say, “How would God know what we’re doing? Does the Most High God know anything?”
Psalm 73:12 - Here is what sinful people are like. They don’t have a care in the world. They keep getting richer and richer.
Psalm 73:13 - It seems as if I have kept my heart pure for no reason. It didn’t do me any good to wash my hands to show that I wasn’t guilty of doing anything wrong.
Psalm 73:14 - Day after day I’ve been in pain. God has punished me in a new way every morning.
Revelation 13:3 - One of the beast’s heads seemed to have had a deadly wound. But the wound had been healed. The whole world was amazed and followed the beast.
Revelation 13:4 - People worshiped the dragon, because he had given authority to the beast. They also worshiped the beast. They asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can make war against it?”
Revelation 13:5 - The beast was given a mouth to brag and speak evil things against God. The beast was allowed to use its authority for 42 months.
Revelation 13:6 - The beast opened its mouth to speak evil things against God. It told lies about God and about the place where God lives. And it told lies about those who live in heaven with him.
Revelation 13:7 - The beast was allowed to make war against God’s holy people and to overcome them. It was given authority over every tribe, people and nation, no matter what language they spoke.
Revelation 13:8 - Many people who live on the earth will worship the beast. They are the ones whose names are not written in the Lamb’s book of life. The Lamb is the one whose death was planned before the world was created.
Revelation 13:9 - Whoever has ears should listen.
Revelation 13:10 - “Everyone who is supposed to be captured will be captured. Everyone who is supposed to be killed by a sword will be killed by a sword.” ( Jeremiah 15:2 ) So God’s people must be patient and faithful.
Galatians 6:9 - Let us not become tired of doing good. At the right time we will gather a crop if we don’t give up.
Joshua 10:12 - So the Lord gave the Amorites over to Israel. On that day Joshua spoke to the Lord while the Israelites were listening. He said, “Sun, stand still over Gibeon. And you, moon, stand still over the Valley of Aijalon.”

Proverbs 20:22 - Don’t say, “I’ll get even with you for the wrong you did to me!” Wait for the Lord, and he will make things right for you.
Habakkuk 2:3 - The message I give you waits for the time I have appointed. It speaks about what is going to happen. And all of it will come true. It might take a while. But wait for it. You can be sure it will come. It will happen when I want it to.
Psalm 62:5 - Yes, I must find my rest in God. He is the God who gives me hope.
Psalm 27:14 - Wait for the Lord. Be strong and don’t lose hope. Wait for the Lord.
Hebrews 10:36 - You need to be faithful. Then you will do what God wants. You will receive what he has promised.
Hebrews 10:37 - “In just a little while, he who is coming will come. He will not wait any longer.”
James 5:7 - Brothers and sisters, be patient until the Lord comes. See how the farmer waits for the land to produce its rich crop. See how patient the farmer is for the fall and spring rains.
James 5:8 - You too must be patient. You must remain strong. The Lord will soon come back.
James 5:9 - Brothers and sisters, don’t find fault with one another. If you do, you will be judged. And the Judge is standing at the door!
James 5:10 - Brothers and sisters, think about the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. They are an example of how to be patient when you suffer.
James 5:11 - As you know, we think that people who don’t give up are blessed. You have heard that Job was patient. And you have seen what the Lord finally did for him. The Lord is full of tender mercy and loving concern.
