1 Chronicles 29:24 - All the officers and warriors promised to be completely faithful to King Solomon. So did all of King David’s sons.
1 Chronicles 29:25 - The Lord greatly honored Solomon in the sight of all the people. He gave him royal majesty. Solomon was given more glory than any king over Israel ever had before.
1 Chronicles 29:26 - David was king over the whole nation of Israel. He was the son of Jesse.
1 Chronicles 29:27 - He ruled over Israel for 40 years. He ruled for seven years in Hebron and for 33 years in Jerusalem.
1 Chronicles 29:28 - He died when he was very old. He had enjoyed a long life. He had enjoyed wealth and honor. David’s son Solomon became the next king after him.
1 Chronicles 29:29 - The events of King David’s rule from beginning to end are written down. They are written in the records of Samuel, Nathan and Gad, the prophets.
1 Chronicles 29:30 - The records tell all about David’s rule and power. They tell about what happened concerning him and Israel and the kingdoms of all the other lands.
Exodus 13:8 - On that day talk to your child. Say, ‘I’m doing this because of what the Lord did for me when I came out of Egypt.’
Psalm 22:31 - And they will tell people who have not yet been born, “The Lord has done what is right!”
1 Samuel 4:18 - When the man spoke about the ark of God, Eli fell backward off his chair. He had been sitting by the side of the gate. When he fell, he broke his neck and died. He was old and fat. He had led Israel for 40 years.
Isaiah 51:9 - Wake up, arm of the Lord! Wake up! Dress yourself with strength as if it were your clothes! Wake up, just as you did in the past. Wake up, as you did long ago. Didn’t you cut Rahab to pieces? Didn’t you stab that sea monster to death?
Psalm 145:4 - Parents praise your works to their children. They tell about your mighty acts.
Psalm 145:5 - They speak about your glorious majesty. I will spend time thinking about your wonderful deeds.
Psalm 78:6 - Then those born later would know his laws. Even their children yet to come would know them. And they in turn would tell their children.
Exodus 13:14 - “In days to come, your child will ask you, ‘What does this mean?’ Say to them, ‘The Lord used his mighty hand to bring us out of Egypt. That’s the land where we were slaves.

Exodus 13:17 - Pharaoh let the people go. The shortest road from Goshen to Canaan went through the Philistine country. But God didn’t lead them that way. God said, “If they have to go into battle, they might change their minds. They might return to Egypt.”
Psalm 78:4 - We won’t hide them from our children. We will tell them to those who live after us. We will tell them what the Lord has done that is worthy of praise. We will talk about his power and the wonderful things he has done.
Isaiah 46:4 - I will continue to carry you even when you are old. I will take good care of you even when your hair is gray. I have made you, and I will carry you. I will take care of you, and I will save you. I am the Lord.
Psalm 71:9 - Don’t push me away when I’m old. Don’t desert me when my strength is gone.
