Hebrews 2:17 - Therefore, it was essential that He had to be made like His brothers (mankind) in every respect, so that He might [by experience] become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things related to God, to make atonement (propitiation) for the people’s sins [thereby wiping away the sin, satisfying divine justice, and providing a way of reconciliation between God and mankind].
John 5:26 - For just as the Father has life in Himself [and is self-existent], even so He has given to the Son to have life in Himself [and be self-existent].
Ezekiel 45:20 - You shall do this on the seventh [day] of the month for everyone who goes astray [and sins through error or ignorance] and for him who is naive; so shall you make atonement for the temple (house).
John 6:40 - For this is My Father’s will and purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him [as Savior] will have eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] on the last day.”
Leviticus 6:30 - But no sin offering from which any of the blood is brought into the Tent of Meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place shall be eaten; it shall be [completely] burned in the fire.
Daniel 9:24 - “Seventy weeks [of years, or 490 years] have been decreed for your people and for your holy city (Jerusalem), to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make atonement (reconciliation) for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness (right-standing with God), to seal up vision and prophecy and prophet, and to anoint the Most Holy Place.
Colossians 3:3 - For you died [to this world], and your [new, real] life is hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:4 - When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory.
John 10:28 - And I give them eternal life, and they will never, ever [by any means] perish; and no one will ever snatch them out of My hand.
John 10:29 - My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater and mightier than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.

2 Corinthians 5:19 - that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting people’s sins against them [but canceling them]. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation [that is, restoration to favor with God].
