I will blot their names from Israel’s record books, and they will never again set foot in their own land. Then you will know that I am the Sovereign Lord.
Ezekiel 13:10 - “This will happen because these evil prophets deceive my people by saying, ‘All is peaceful’ when there is no peace at all! It’s as if the people have built a flimsy wall, and these prophets are trying to reinforce it by covering it with whitewash!
Ezekiel 13:11 - Tell these whitewashers that their wall will soon fall down. A heavy rainstorm will undermine it; great hailstones and mighty winds will knock it down.
Ezekiel 13:12 - And when the wall falls, the people will cry out, ‘What happened to your whitewash?’
Ezekiel 13:13 - “Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will sweep away your whitewashed wall with a storm of indignation, with a great flood of anger, and with hailstones of fury.
Ezekiel 13:14 - I will break down your wall right to its foundation, and when it falls, it will crush you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Ezekiel 13:15 - At last my anger against the wall and those who covered it with whitewash will be satisfied. Then I will say to you: ‘The wall and those who whitewashed it are both gone.
Ezekiel 13:16 - They were lying prophets who claimed peace would come to Jerusalem when there was no peace. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’
Jeremiah 6:13 - “From the least to the greatest, their lives are ruled by greed. From prophets to priests, they are all frauds.
Jeremiah 6:14 - They offer superficial treatments for my people’s mortal wound. They give assurances of peace when there is no peace.

Ezekiel 13:11 - Tell these whitewashers that their wall will soon fall down. A heavy rainstorm will undermine it; great hailstones and mighty winds will knock it down.
Ezekiel 13:12 - And when the wall falls, the people will cry out, ‘What happened to your whitewash?’
Ezekiel 13:13 - “Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will sweep away your whitewashed wall with a storm of indignation, with a great flood of anger, and with hailstones of fury.
Ezekiel 13:14 - I will break down your wall right to its foundation, and when it falls, it will crush you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Ezekiel 13:15 - At last my anger against the wall and those who covered it with whitewash will be satisfied. Then I will say to you: ‘The wall and those who whitewashed it are both gone.
Ezekiel 13:16 - They were lying prophets who claimed peace would come to Jerusalem when there was no peace. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!’
Jeremiah 6:13 - “From the least to the greatest, their lives are ruled by greed. From prophets to priests, they are all frauds.
Jeremiah 6:14 - They offer superficial treatments for my people’s mortal wound. They give assurances of peace when there is no peace.
Jeremiah 23:32 - I am against these false prophets. Their imaginary dreams are flagrant lies that lead my people into sin. I did not send or appoint them, and they have no message at all for my people. I, the Lord, have spoken!
Hosea 4:6 - My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.
Hosea 4:7 - The more priests there are, the more they sin against me. They have exchanged the glory of God for the shame of idols.
Hosea 4:8 - “When the people bring their sin offerings, the priests get fed. So the priests are glad when the people sin!
Jeremiah 14:13 - Then I said, “O Sovereign Lord, their prophets are telling them, ‘All is well—no war or famine will come. The Lord will surely send you peace.’”
Jeremiah 14:14 - Then the Lord said, “These prophets are telling lies in my name. I did not send them or tell them to speak. I did not give them any messages. They prophesy of visions and revelations they have never seen or heard. They speak foolishness made up in their own lying hearts.
Jeremiah 14:15 - Therefore, this is what the Lord says: I will punish these lying prophets, for they have spoken in my name even though I never sent them. They say that no war or famine will come, but they themselves will die by war and famine!
Matthew 7:15 - “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves.
Jeremiah 23:9 - My heart is broken because of the false prophets, and my bones tremble. I stagger like a drunkard, like someone overcome by wine, because of the holy words the Lord has spoken against them.
Jeremiah 23:10 - For the land is full of adultery, and it lies under a curse. The land itself is in mourning— its wilderness pastures are dried up. For they all do evil and abuse what power they have.
Jeremiah 23:11 - “Even the priests and prophets are ungodly, wicked men. I have seen their despicable acts right here in my own Temple,” says the Lord.
Jeremiah 23:12 - “Therefore, the paths they take will become slippery. They will be chased through the dark, and there they will fall. For I will bring disaster upon them at the time fixed for their punishment. I, the Lord, have spoken!
Jeremiah 23:13 - “I saw that the prophets of Samaria were terribly evil, for they prophesied in the name of Baal and led my people of Israel into sin.
Jeremiah 23:14 - But now I see that the prophets of Jerusalem are even worse! They commit adultery and love dishonesty. They encourage those who are doing evil so that no one turns away from their sins. These prophets are as wicked as the people of Sodom and Gomorrah once were.”
Jeremiah 23:15 - Therefore, this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says concerning the prophets: “I will feed them with bitterness and give them poison to drink. For it is because of Jerusalem’s prophets that wickedness has filled this land.”
Jeremiah 23:16 - This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says to his people: “Do not listen to these prophets when they prophesy to you, filling you with futile hopes. They are making up everything they say. They do not speak for the Lord!
Jeremiah 23:17 - They keep saying to those who despise my word, ‘Don’t worry! The Lord says you will have peace!’ And to those who stubbornly follow their own desires, they say, ‘No harm will come your way!’
Ezekiel 44:7 - You have brought uncircumcised foreigners into my sanctuary—people who have no heart for God. In this way, you defiled my Temple even as you offered me my food, the fat and blood of sacrifices. In addition to all your other detestable sins, you have broken my covenant.
Ezekiel 44:8 - Instead of safeguarding my sacred rituals, you have hired foreigners to take charge of my sanctuary.
1 Samuel 2:12 - Now the sons of Eli were scoundrels who had no respect for the Lord
1 Samuel 2:13 - or for their duties as priests. Whenever anyone offered a sacrifice, Eli’s sons would send over a servant with a three-pronged fork. While the meat of the sacrificed animal was still boiling,
1 Samuel 2:14 - the servant would stick the fork into the pot and demand that whatever it brought up be given to Eli’s sons. All the Israelites who came to worship at Shiloh were treated this way.
1 Samuel 2:15 - Sometimes the servant would come even before the animal’s fat had been burned on the altar. He would demand raw meat before it had been boiled so that it could be used for roasting.
1 Samuel 2:16 - The man offering the sacrifice might reply, “Take as much as you want, but the fat must be burned first.” Then the servant would demand, “No, give it to me now, or I’ll take it by force.”
1 Samuel 2:17 - So the sin of these young men was very serious in the Lord’s sight, for they treated the Lord’s offerings with contempt.
Jeremiah 27:14 - Do not listen to the false prophets who keep telling you, ‘The king of Babylon will not conquer you.’ They are liars.
Jeremiah 27:15 - This is what the Lord says: ‘I have not sent these prophets! They are telling you lies in my name, so I will drive you from this land. You will all die—you and all these prophets, too.’”
Jeremiah 8:10 - I will give their wives to others and their farms to strangers. From the least to the greatest, their lives are ruled by greed. Yes, even my prophets and priests are like that. They are all frauds.
2 Corinthians 11:13 - These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ.
Revelation 19:20 - And the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who did mighty miracles on behalf of the beast—miracles that deceived all who had accepted the mark of the beast and who worshiped his statue. Both the beast and his false prophet were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.
Isaiah 9:15 - The leaders of Israel are the head, and the lying prophets are the tail.
Isaiah 56:10 - For the leaders of my people— the Lord’s watchmen, his shepherds— are blind and ignorant. They are like silent watchdogs that give no warning when danger comes. They love to lie around, sleeping and dreaming.
Isaiah 56:11 - Like greedy dogs, they are never satisfied. They are ignorant shepherds, all following their own path and intent on personal gain.
Isaiah 56:12 - “Come,” they say, “let’s get some wine and have a party. Let’s all get drunk. Then tomorrow we’ll do it again and have an even bigger party!”
Lamentations 2:14 - Your prophets have said so many foolish things, false to the core. They did not save you from exile by pointing out your sins. Instead, they painted false pictures, filling you with false hope.
Jeremiah 5:31 - the prophets give false prophecies, and the priests rule with an iron hand. Worse yet, my people like it that way! But what will you do when the end comes?
Micah 3:5 - This is what the Lord says: “You false prophets are leading my people astray! You promise peace for those who give you food, but you declare war on those who refuse to feed you.
Micah 3:6 - Now the night will close around you, cutting off all your visions. Darkness will cover you, putting an end to your predictions. The sun will set for you prophets, and your day will come to an end.
Jeremiah 23:25 - “I have heard these prophets say, ‘Listen to the dream I had from God last night.’ And then they proceed to tell lies in my name.
Jeremiah 23:26 - How long will this go on? If they are prophets, they are prophets of deceit, inventing everything they say.
Jeremiah 23:27 - By telling these false dreams, they are trying to get my people to forget me, just as their ancestors did by worshiping the idols of Baal.
Malachi 2:8 - But you priests have left God’s paths. Your instructions have caused many to stumble into sin. You have corrupted the covenant I made with the Levites,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
Hosea 9:7 - The time of Israel’s punishment has come; the day of payment is here. Soon Israel will know this all too well. Because of your great sin and hostility, you say, “The prophets are crazy and the inspired men are fools!”
Ezekiel 22:26 - Your priests have violated my instructions and defiled my holy things. They make no distinction between what is holy and what is not. And they do not teach my people the difference between what is ceremonially clean and unclean. They disregard my Sabbath days so that I am dishonored among them.
