王和他的人到了耶路撒冷，要攻打住那地方的耶布斯人。耶布斯人对大卫说：“你必不能进到这里，就是盲人、瘸子都可以把你击退。”就是说：“大卫绝不能进到这里。”然而大卫攻取了锡安的堡垒，就是大卫的城。当日，大卫说：“谁攻打耶布斯人，就要从水道上去，攻打我心里所恨恶的瘸子、盲人。”因此有人说：“盲人和瘸子不得进殿里去。”大卫住在堡垒里，给它起名叫大卫城。大卫又从米罗往内，周围建筑。大卫日见强大，耶和华—万军之神与他同在。

洗拉、以利弗、耶布斯，耶布斯就是耶路撒冷，基比亚、基列，共十四座城，以及所属的村庄。这是便雅悯人按着宗族所得的地业。
