所以，基督既然在肉身上受过苦，你们也应该以同样的心志装备自己，因为那在肉身上受过苦的，就已经与罪断绝了，

Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.

那些属于基督耶稣的人，已经把肉体与肉体的渴望和情欲一同钉上十字架了。

因为基督也曾一次为了赎罪而受苦，就是义的代替不义的，为要把你们带到神的面前。照着肉身说，基督固然被处死了；但照着灵说，他却得以复活了。

因为你们已经死了，你们的生命与基督一同藏在神里面。基督是你们的生命，当他显现的时候，你们那时也就和他一同在荣耀里显现。所以，当把你们属世的各个部分看为死了的，就如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪心，贪心就是拜偶像。

所以现在活着的不再是我，而是基督在我里面活着；并且如今我在肉体中活着，是因信神的儿子而活；他爱我，甚至为我舍弃了自己。

照样，你们就当看自己向罪是死的，但在基督耶稣里向神却是活的。

“洗涤自己，洁净自己吧，从我眼前除掉你们的恶行！当停止作恶，

为此，要拿起神的全副武装，好使你们在邪恶的日子能够抵挡，并且在完成一切以后，还站立得住。

因为一个死了的人，已经脱离了罪。

绝对不可！我们这些向罪已经死了的人，怎么还能活在罪中呢？

黑夜已深，白昼近了。所以，我们要脱去黑暗的行为，配上光明的兵器。我们要行事端正，好像在白昼中那样：不可荒宴、醉酒；不可淫乱、好色；不可纷争、嫉妒。相反，要穿上主耶稣基督；不要为了私欲而在属肉体的事上做任何安排。

其实，你们应当仔细地思想耶稣如何忍受了罪人的顶撞，这样你们心里就不会因丧气而疲倦。

你们应当有这样的意念，这也是基督耶稣的意念。

原来，那进了神安息的人，也歇了自己的工作，就像神歇了自己的工作那样。
