曰、既欲立王、治理爾曹、試陳其例。王必取爾子、使御車服馬、趨承於前者有之、立為千夫長、五十夫長者有之、使耕田畝、穫其所產、作戰具、製車器者、亦有之。王必取爾女、或為製餅餌、或為廚婢、或為膳女。又必取爾田畝、葡萄園、橄欖囿之嘉者。爾田所出、葡萄園所產、十取其一、供其宦豎、給其賤役。

爾既至爾上帝耶和華所錫之地、據而居之、意謂必立王、如列邦之民然、則必以爾上帝耶和華所簡者、立之為王、必爾同儕、不取外族、王之馬駟、毋得增益、毋使民歸埃及、以購群馬、蓋耶和華曾諭爾曰、不得復往此途。王之嬪妃、不可加多、恐心昏迷、亦不得廣積金銀。既登國位、必從祭司利未人所存之律法、錄成卷册、存之於側、畢生誦之、則知畏其上帝耶和華、遵其律法、行其禮儀。心勿驕奢、藐視同儕、勿違誡命、勿偏於左、勿偏於右、則可享遐齡、爰及子孫、於以色列族中。

教人當服有位從政、百善悉備、

主耶和華曰、如君王錫土於子、則其土歸子統轄、為其恆業、如王以土地錫於臣僕、則其土必歸臣僕、越屆禧年、乃歸君王、爰及子孫、君王欲以土賜子、必取畿輔之地、勿強奪民業、逐民出邑、使星散於四方、

居上位者、眾宜服之、非上帝則無居位者、凡居位者、皆上帝所命、與居位者敵、是為逆上帝命、逆者必受罪、有司不令善人畏、使惡人畏、爾欲不畏居位者、惟行善、可得其褒、居位者、上帝僕也、原以益爾、行惡宜畏之、以其為上帝僕、柄不徒操、刑加作惡之人、此其所以當服之、豈惟刑故、吾心使然也、是宜輸稅、居位者上帝之執事、恆執斯役、所宜與者、與之、稅宜納、則納之、餉宜輸、則輸之、宜敬畏、則敬畏之、

爾順主、當服世之統轄人者、或王在上、或王所命彰善癉惡之方伯、

亦為諸王暨上位者求、俾我儕虔敬端莊、綏安無事、以畢一生、

主耶和華曰、爾以色列君畿內所產、足以自供、勿強暴攘奪、惟孳孳然行仁為義、權量法度、悉秉至公、
