Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come, let us go to Gilgal and there renew the kingship.”

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come on. Let’s go to Gilgal. There we’ll agree again to have Saul as our king.”

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come, let us go to Gilgal and there renew the kingdom.”

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come, let us all go to Gilgal to renew the kingdom.”

Then Samuel said to the people,“ Come, let’s go to Gilgal, so we can renew the kingship there.”

And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings,[ and] to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do.

And he went from year to year in circuit to Bethel, and Gilgal, and Mizpeh, and judged Israel in all those places.

And Samuel said to all the people, See ye him whom the LORD hath chosen, that[ there is] none like him among all the people? And all the people shouted, and said, God save the king.Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote[ it] in a book, and laid[ it] up before the LORD. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.

And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon[ was] fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.

All these men of war, that could keep rank, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel[ were] of one heart to make David king.And there they were with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
