When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, this word of the Lord came to Shemaiah:“ Since they have humbled themselves, I will not destroy them but will soon give them deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.

The Lord saw they had made themselves humble. So he gave a message to Shemaiah. The Lord said,“ They have made themselves humble in my sight. So I will not destroy them. Instead, I will soon save them. Even though I am very angry with Jerusalem, I will not use Shishak to destroy them.

When the Lord saw that they humbled themselves, the word of the Lord came to Shemaiah:“ They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them, but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath shall not be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

When the Lord saw their change of heart, he gave this message to Shemaiah:“ Since the people have humbled themselves, I will not completely destroy them and will soon give them some relief. I will not use Shishak to pour out my anger on Jerusalem.

When the LORD saw that they had humbled themselves, the LORD’s message came to Shemaiah:“ They have humbled themselves; I will not destroy them but will grant them a little deliverance. My wrath will not be poured out on Jerusalem through Shishak.

When Yahweh saw that they humbled themselves, Yahweh’s word came to Shemaiah, saying,“ They have humbled themselves. I will not destroy them; but I will grant them some deliverance, and my wrath won’t be poured out on Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.

以色列人對耶和華說：“我們犯了罪了，你任意對待我們吧；只求你今日拯救我們。”以色列人就從他們中間除去外族人的神，事奉耶和華；耶和華的心因以色列人所受的患難，就很著急。

第一位天使去了，把碗倒在地上，就有惡性的毒瘡，生在那些有獸的記號和拜獸像的人身上。第二位天使把碗倒在海裡，海水就變成好像死人的血，海裡的一切生物都死了。第三位天使把碗倒在江河和眾水的泉源裡，水就變成了血。我聽見掌管眾水的天使說：“今在昔在的聖者啊！你這樣審判是公義的，因為他們曾流聖徒和先知的血，現在你給他們血喝，這是他們該受的。”我又聽見祭壇中有聲音說：“是的，主啊！全能的神，你的審判真實、公義！”第四位天使把碗倒在太陽上，太陽就得了能力，可以用火烤人。人被高熱燒烤，就褻瀆那有權柄掌管這些災難的神的名，並不悔改，把榮耀歸給他。第五位天使把碗倒在獸的座位上，獸的國就黑暗了。人因為痛苦就咬自己的舌頭。他們又因為所受的痛苦和所生的瘡，褻瀆天上的神，並不為自己所作的悔改。第六位天使把碗倒在幼發拉底大河上，河水就乾了，為了要給那些從東方來的王預備道路。我看見三個污靈，好像青蛙從龍口、獸口和假先知的口中出來。他們原是鬼魔的靈，施行奇事；牠們到普天下的眾王那裡去，叫他們在全能神的大日聚集作戰。（看哪，我來像賊一樣！那警醒、看守自己衣服的是有福的！他就不至於赤身行走，讓人看見他的羞恥。）污靈就把眾王聚集在一個地方，希伯來話叫哈米吉多頓。第七位天使把碗倒在空中，就有大聲音從聖所的寶座上發出來，說：“成了！”

願你把你的烈怒，傾倒在不認識你的外族人，和不求告你名的列國身上。

耶和華對這事改變心意。主耶和華說：“這事也不會發生。”他向我這樣顯示：看哪！主站在一道按準繩建造的牆旁邊，手裡拿著準繩。耶和華對我說：“阿摩司，你看見甚麼？”我回答：“我看見準繩。”主又說：“看哪！我把準繩放在我民以色列中間，必不再放過他們。

但耶和華仍然施恩給他們，憐憫他們，眷顧他們，這是因為他與亞伯拉罕、以撒和雅各所立的約，不願意毀滅他們，把他們從自己的面前丟棄，直到今日。

我要起來，到我父親那裡去，對他說：爸爸，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，不配再稱為你的兒子，把我當作一個雇工吧！’於是他起來往父親那裡去。他還在遠處時，他父親看見了他，就動了慈心，跑過去抱著他，連連與他親吻。兒子說：‘爸爸，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，不配再稱為你的兒子。’

“你們去，為我、也為以色列和猶大的餘民，求問耶和華關於我們發現的這書上的話；因為我們的列祖沒有謹守耶和華的話，也沒有照著這書上所記的一切去行，所以耶和華才向我們大發烈怒。”

‘只要你承認自己的罪孽，就是悖逆了耶和華你的神，在每棵繁茂的樹下，濫愛外族人的神，沒有聽從我的話。’這是耶和華的宣告。

約哈斯懇求耶和華，耶和華垂聽他的禱告，因為看見了以色列所受的壓迫，就是亞蘭王對他們的壓迫。耶和華就賜給以色列一位拯救者，他救他們脫離亞蘭王的手，於是以色列人可以在自己的家安居，好像以前一樣。可是他們沒有離開耶羅波安家使以色列人陷於罪中的那些罪，仍然行在罪中；亞舍拉依然立在撒瑪利亞。於是耶和華沒有給約哈斯留下餘民，只剩下騎兵五十人，戰車十輛和步兵一萬人，因為亞蘭王毀滅他們，踐踏他們好像禾場上的塵土。

因此，主耶和華這樣說：“看哪！我的怒氣和忿怒，必倒在這地方，也必倒在人口、牲畜、田野的樹木和地的出產上；怒火燒起，不能熄滅。”

他卻有憐憫，赦免罪孽，沒有把他們滅絕，並且多次抑制自己的怒氣，沒有完全宣洩他的烈怒。

以致我也與他們作對，把他們帶到他們的仇敵之地。如果他們未受割禮的心這樣謙卑下來，情願接受他們罪孽的刑罰，我就記念我與雅各所立的約，記念我與以撒所立的約，與亞伯拉罕所立的約；我也記念這地。

因此，他把他猛烈的怒氣和慘酷的戰爭，傾倒在他身上；這在他四周如火燒起來，他還不知道；把他燒著了，他也不放在心上。

他就必定喝神烈怒的酒：這酒是斟在神震怒的杯中，純一不雜的。他必定在眾天使和羊羔面前，在火與硫磺之中受痛苦。

耶和華的話臨到提斯比人以利亞說：“你看見了亞哈在我面前怎樣謙卑自己，因為他在我面前謙卑自己，所以他還在世的日子，我必不降這災禍；到他兒子的日子，我必降這災禍與他的家。”
