He also followed their counsel when he went with Joram son of Ahab king of Israel to wage war against Hazael king of Aram at Ramoth Gilead. The Arameans wounded Joram;

You implement the regulations of Omri, and all the practices of Ahab’s dynasty; you follow their policies. Therefore I will make you an appalling sight, the city’s inhabitants will be taunted derisively, and nations will mock all of you.”

So Hazael went to visit Elisha. He took along a gift, as well as forty camel loads of all the fine things of Damascus. When he arrived, he stood before him and said,“ Your son, King Ben Hadad of Syria, has sent me to you with this question,‘ Will I recover from this sickness?’”

King Ahab of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ Will you go with me to attack Ramoth Gilead?” Jehoshaphat replied to the king of Israel,“ I will support you; my army is at your disposal and will support you in battle.”
