he met some relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah and asked,“ Who are you?” They said,“ We are relatives of Ahaziah, and we have come down to greet the families of the king and of the queen mother.”

he saw some people. They were relatives of Ahaziah, the king of Judah. Jehu asked them,“ Who are you?” They said,“ We are Ahaziah’s relatives. We’ve come down to visit the families of the king and of his mother.”

Jehu met the relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah, and he said,“ Who are you?” And they answered,“ We are the relatives of Ahaziah, and we came down to visit the royal princes and the sons of the queen mother.”

he met some relatives of King Ahaziah of Judah.“ Who are you?” he asked them. And they replied,“ We are relatives of King Ahaziah. We are going to visit the sons of King Ahab and the sons of the queen mother.”

Jehu met the relatives of King Ahaziah of Judah and asked,“ Who are you?” They answered,“ We’re Ahaziah’s relatives. We’ve come down to greet the king’s sons and the queen mother’s sons.”

Jehu encountered the relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah, and he said,“ Who are you?” And they answered,“ We are the relatives of Ahaziah; and we have come down to greet the sons of the king and the sons of the queen mother.”

約蘭王回到耶斯列，醫治在拉末與亞蘭王哈薛打仗時，被亞蘭人擊打所受的傷。約蘭的兒子猶大王亞哈謝因為亞哈的兒子約蘭病了，就下到耶斯列看望他。

約蘭與他祖先同睡，與他祖先同葬在大衛城，他兒子亞哈謝接續他作王。

他們上來攻擊猶大，侵入境內，擄掠了王宮裏所有的財物和他的妻妾、兒女，除了他的小兒子約哈斯之外，沒有留下一個兒子。

耶路撒冷的居民立約蘭的小兒子亞哈謝接續他作王，因為跟隨阿拉伯人來攻營的軍兵把亞哈謝所有的兄長都殺了；猶大王約蘭的兒子亞哈謝就作了王。亞哈謝登基的時候年四十二歲，在耶路撒冷作王一年。他母親名叫亞她利雅，是暗利的孫女。亞哈謝也行亞哈家的道，因為他母親給他主謀，使他行惡。他行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，像亞哈家一樣；因他父親死後，他們給他主謀，使他敗壞。他也聽從他們的計謀，與以色列王亞哈的兒子約蘭同往基列的拉末去，與亞蘭王哈薛交戰。亞蘭人打傷了約蘭，他回到耶斯列，醫治在拉末與亞蘭王哈薛打仗時被擊打所受的傷。約蘭的兒子猶大王亞哈謝因為亞哈的兒子約蘭病了，就下到耶斯列看望他。亞哈謝去見約蘭而遇害，這是出乎神；因為他一到就同約蘭出去攻擊寧示的孫子耶戶；這耶戶是耶和華所膏，使他剪除亞哈家的。耶戶向亞哈家施行懲罰的時候，遇見猶大的眾領袖和亞哈謝的姪子們正服事亞哈謝，就把他們都殺了。亞哈謝躲在撒瑪利亞，耶戶尋找他，眾人把他拿住，送到耶戶那裏，就殺了他。他們把他埋葬，因他們說，他是那盡心尋求耶和華之約沙法的兒子。這樣，亞哈謝的家無力保住國權。亞哈謝的母親亞她利雅見她兒子死了，就起來剿滅猶大王室所有的後裔。

約蘭吩咐說：「套車！」人就給他套車。以色列王約蘭和猶大王亞哈謝各坐自己的車出去迎接耶戶，在耶斯列人拿伯的田那裏遇見他。約蘭見耶戶就說：「耶戶，平安嗎？」耶戶說：「你母親耶洗別的淫行邪術這樣多，怎麼能平安呢？」約蘭用手轉過車來逃跑，對亞哈謝說：「亞哈謝啊，反了！」耶戶全力拉弓，射中約蘭兩臂中間，箭從心窩穿出，約蘭就仆倒在車上。耶戶對他的軍官畢甲說：「把他拋在耶斯列人拿伯的田裏。你當記得，你我一同駕車跟隨他父親亞哈的時候，耶和華對亞哈說了預言，耶和華說：『我昨日看見拿伯的血和他眾子的血，我發誓我必在這塊田上報應你。』這是耶和華說的。現在你要照着耶和華的話，把他拋在這田裏。」猶大王亞哈謝看見了，就沿着伯‧哈干的路逃跑。耶戶追趕他，說：「把這人也擊殺在車上，在靠近以伯蓮的姑珥坡上」。他逃到米吉多，就死在那裏。
