祭司撒督就從帳幕中取了盛膏油的角來，用膏膏所羅門。人就吹角，眾民都說：「願所羅門王萬歲！」

但約蘭王的女兒，亞哈謝的妹子約示巴，將亞哈謝的兒子約阿施從那被殺的王子中偷出來，把他和他的乳母都藏在臥房裏，躲避亞她利雅，免得被殺。

撒母耳拿瓶膏油倒在掃羅的頭上，與他親嘴，說：「這不是耶和華膏你作他產業的君嗎？

你們必歡歡喜喜而出來，平平安安蒙引導。大山小山必在你們面前發聲歌唱；田野的樹木也都拍掌。

他登了國位，就要將祭司利未人面前的這律法書，為自己抄錄一本，存在他那裏，要平生誦讀，好學習敬畏耶和華－他的神，謹守遵行這律法書上的一切言語和這些律例，免得他向弟兄心高氣傲，偏左偏右，離了這誡命。這樣，他和他的子孫便可在以色列中，在國位上年長日久。」

萬民哪，你們都要拍掌！要用誇勝的聲音向神呼喊！

願大水拍手；願諸山在耶和華面前一同歡呼；

大衛的朋友亞基人戶篩去見押沙龍，對他說：「願王萬歲！願王萬歲！」

撒母耳就用角裏的膏油，在他諸兄中膏了他。從這日起，耶和華的靈就大大感動大衛。撒母耳起身回拉瑪去了。

我要使他的仇敵披上羞恥；但他的冠冕要在頭上發光。

你喜愛公義，恨惡罪惡；所以神，就是你的神，用喜樂油膏你，勝過膏你的同伴；

王愛以斯帖過於愛眾女，她在王眼前蒙寵愛比眾處女更甚。王就把王后的冠冕戴在她頭上，立她為王后，代替瓦實提。

他們要存活。示巴的金子要奉給他；人要常常為他禱告，終日稱頌他。在地的山頂上，五穀必然茂盛；所結的穀實要響動，如黎巴嫩的樹林；城裏的人要發旺，如地上的草。他的名要存到永遠，要留傳如日之久。人要因他蒙福；萬國要稱他有福。

前行後隨的眾人喊着說：和散那歸於大衛的子孫！奉主名來的是應當稱頌的！高高在上和散那！

那在基督裏堅固我們和你們，並且膏我們的就是神。

在那裏，祭司撒督和先知拿單要膏他作以色列的王；你們也要吹角，說：『願所羅門王萬歲！』

他們對尼布甲尼撒王說：「願王萬歲！

現在你們的主－掃羅死了，猶大家已經膏我作他們的王，所以你們要剛強奮勇。」

奪了亞捫人之王所戴的金冠冕，其上的金子重一他連得，又嵌着寶石。人將這冠冕戴在大衛頭上。大衛從城裏奪了許多財物，

用荊棘編做冠冕，戴在他頭上，拿一根葦子放在他右手裏，跪在他面前，戲弄他，說：「恭喜，猶太人的王啊！」

希律和本丟‧彼拉多，外邦人和以色列民，果然在這城裏聚集，要攻打你所膏的聖僕耶穌，

惟獨見那成為比天使小一點的耶穌；因為受死的苦，就得了尊貴榮耀為冠冕，叫他因着神的恩，為人人嘗了死味。

但以理對王說：「願王萬歲！

於是領王子出來，給他戴上冠冕，將律法書交給他，立他作王。耶何耶大和眾子膏他，眾人說：「願王萬歲！」

你要捲起律法書，在我門徒中間封住訓誨。

於是以色列的長老都來到希伯崙見大衛王，大衛在希伯崙耶和華面前與他們立約，他們就膏大衛作以色列的王。

他的眼睛如火焰，他頭上戴着許多冠冕；又有寫着的名字，除了他自己沒有人知道。

人當以訓誨和法度為標準；他們所說的，若不與此相符，必不得見晨光。

因為，他在雅各中立法度，在以色列中設律法；是他吩咐我們祖宗要傳給子孫的，

當將王常穿的朝服和戴冠的御馬，

你以美福迎接他，把精金的冠冕戴在他頭上。

耶和華的受膏者好比我們鼻中的氣，在他們的坑中被捉住；我們曾論到他說：我們必在他蔭下，在列國中存活。

你厭惡了與僕人所立的約，將他的冠冕踐踏於地。

猶大人來到希伯崙，在那裏膏大衛作猶大家的王。有人告訴大衛說：「葬埋掃羅的是基列‧雅比人。」

第七年，耶何耶大打發人叫迦利人和護衛兵的眾百夫長來，領他們進了耶和華的殿，與他們立約，使他們在耶和華殿裏起誓，又將王的兒子指給他們看，
