於是，以利亞離開那裏走了，遇見沙法的兒子以利沙；他正在耕田，在他前頭有十二對牛，自己趕着第十二對。以利亞經過他，把自己的外衣搭在他身上。

耶和華必使埃及的海灣全然毀壞，他舉手在大河之上颳起了暴熱的風，擊打它，使它分成七條溪流，人穿鞋便可渡過。

百姓起行離開帳棚過約旦河的時候，抬約櫃的祭司在百姓的前面。那時正是收割的日子，約旦河的水漲滿兩岸。抬約櫃的人到了約旦河，抬約櫃的祭司腳一入水邊，那從上往下流的水就在很遠的地方，在撒拉但旁邊的亞當城那裏停住，豎立成壘；那往亞拉巴海，就是鹽海下流的水全然中斷。於是，百姓在耶利哥的對面過了河。抬耶和華約櫃的祭司在約旦河中的乾地上穩穩站着，以色列眾人都從乾地上過去，直到全國都過了約旦河。

滄海啊，你為何奔逃？約旦哪，你為何倒流？大山哪，你為何踴躍如公羊？小山哪，你為何跳舞如羔羊？大地啊，在主的面前，在雅各的神的面前，震動吧！

以利亞聽見，就用外衣蒙臉，出來站在洞口。聽啊，有聲音向他說：「以利亞，你在這裏做甚麼？」

因着信，他們過紅海如行乾地；埃及人試着要過去就被淹沒了。

第六位天使把碗傾倒在大幼發拉底河上，河水就乾了，為要給從日出之地所來的眾王預備道路。
