The Lord sent Babylonian, Aramean, Moabite and Ammonite raiders against him to destroy Judah, in accordance with the word of the Lord proclaimed by his servants the prophets.

The Lord sent robbers against Jehoiakim from Babylon, Aram, Moab and Ammon. He sent them to destroy Judah. That’s what the Lord had said would happen. He had spoken that message through his servants the prophets.

And the Lord sent against him bands of the Chaldeans and bands of the Syrians and bands of the Moabites and bands of the Ammonites, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by his servants the prophets.

故我以色列族之上帝耶和華必降災於猶大及耶路撒冷、使凡聽聞者、必震其耳。昔我滅撒馬利亞、及亞哈家、亦必循此準繩、滅耶路撒冷、必行拂拭、如人拭盤即覆之、棄我遺民、付於敵手、為敵所擄、

我必使我僕巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、率北方之眾、攻斯土之民、及四周鄰國、滅之殆盡、使見之者駭愕、皆作怨聲。

四周列邦、張以網羅、陷以坎阱、

遂備盛饌、飲食既畢、使歸其王、斯時也、亞蘭人之軍旅不侵以色列地。○

耶和華又曰、我必以斯邑付於巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、及迦勒底人手、

故緣爾故、人將耕郇邑之地、盡成田疇、耶路撒冷悉變瓦礫、斯殿之山將為林藪。

言時又一人至曰、迦勒底人、三軍驟至、取駝殺僕、惟我遁逃以告。

我曰主歟、將至何時、曰、迨乎城垣傾圮、土地荒蕪、室廬寂寞、無人居之、斯土之民、我耶和華必徙諸遠邦、故土蕭條、

耶和華赫然震怒、爰整其旅、以滅斯土、來自遠方、至從地極。

以利沙死而葬。明年摩押之軍侵斯土、民間有死者、將欲埋瘞、見敵軍驟至、遂投尸於以利沙墓、尸既下觸以利沙之骨、則甦而立。○

則我必棄此殿宇、與昔棄示羅無異、使此邑為列邦所詛。

有基列耶林人、示罵雅子烏哩亞、藉耶和華名、言斯邑斯地必毀、與耶利米言無異。

故使亞述王軍長攻之、執馬拿西、擊以鐵索、解至巴比倫、

耶和華將使亞述王降災於汝、及爾國家、自以法蓮叛猶大國、迄今未有若是之甚、

耶和華必使遠民、如鷹之飛、來自地極。攻擊爾曹、其方言爾不之識、其容強悍、不眷顧耆老、不矜恤幼稚。
