以利沙禱告說：「耶和華啊，求你開他的眼目，使他能看見。」耶和華開了這年輕人的眼目，他就看見了，看哪，滿山有火馬和火焰車圍繞以利沙。亞蘭人下到以利沙那裏，以利沙向耶和華禱告說：「求你擊打這國，使他們眼目失明。」耶和華就照以利沙的話，擊打他們，使他們眼目失明。

他們把所給他們的牛犢預備好了，從早晨到中午，求告巴力的名說：「巴力啊，求你應允我們！」卻沒有聲音，也沒有回應。他們就在所築的壇四圍蹦跳。到了正午，以利亞嘲笑他們，說：「大聲求告吧！因為它是神明，它或許在默想，或許正忙着，或許在路上，或許在睡覺，它該醒過來了。」

他求告耶和華說：「耶和華－我的上帝啊，我寄居在這寡婦的家裏，你卻降禍於她，使她的兒子死了嗎？」以利亞三次伏在孩子的身上，求告耶和華說：「耶和華－我的上帝啊，求你使這孩子的生命歸回給他吧！」

乃縵卻發怒走了。他說：「看哪，我以為他必定會出來，到我這裏，站着求告耶和華－他上帝的名，在患處上搖手，治好這痲瘋。

耶穌到了他的家，除了彼得、約翰、雅各，和女兒的父母，不許別人同他進去。

於是他們把石頭挪開。耶穌舉目望天，說：「父啊，我感謝你，因為你已經聽了我。我知道你常常聽我，但我說這話是為了周圍站着的眾人，要使他們信是你差了我來的。」

他們進了撒瑪利亞，以利沙說：「耶和華啊，求你開這些人的眼目，使他們能看見。」耶和華開了他們的眼目，他們就看見了，看哪，是在撒瑪利亞城中。
