But Naaman went away angry and said,“ I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy.

But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.

Naaman went away angry. He said,“ Look, I thought for sure he would come out, stand there, invoke the name of the LORD his God, wave his hand over the area, and cure the skin disease.

But Naaman was angry, and went away, and said,“ Behold, I thought,‘ He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of Yahweh his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leper.’

不要自以為有智慧，要敬畏耶和華，遠離惡事。

百夫長說：「主啊，我不配讓你親自來我家。你只要說一句話，我僕人就會痊癒。

因為自高的人必遭貶抑，謙卑的人必得尊榮。」

你們不要自欺。如果你們有人自以為在世上有智慧，他應當變成愚人，好成為真正的智者。因為這世上的智慧在上帝的眼中都是愚昧的，正如聖經上說：「上帝使智者中了自己的詭計。」又說：「主知道智者的思想虛妄。」

耶穌對他說：「你們不看見神蹟奇事，總不相信。」

上帝運用自己的智慧不讓世人憑自己的智慧去認識祂，祂樂意採用世人看為愚昧的道理去拯救那些相信的人，這就是上帝的智慧。猶太人要看神蹟，希臘人尋求智慧，但我們傳講被釘十字架的基督。這對猶太人來說是絆腳石，對外族人來說是愚昧的。但對於蒙召的人，無論是猶太人還是希臘人，基督是上帝的能力、上帝的智慧。因為上帝的「愚昧」也勝過世人的智慧，上帝的「軟弱」也勝過世人的剛強。

從此，很多門徒離開了，不再跟從耶穌。於是耶穌問那十二個門徒：「你們也要離開我嗎？」西門·彼得答道：「主啊！你有永生之道，我們還跟從誰呢？我們已經相信並且知道你是上帝的聖者。」

我實實在在地告訴你們，人若接待我所差遣的，就是接待我；接待我，就是接待差我來的那位。」

那青年聽後，便憂傷地走了，因為他有許多產業。

耶和華說：「我的意念並非你們的意念，我的道路並非你們的道路。正如天高過地，我的道路也高過你們的道路，我的意念也高過你們的意念。

愚昧人背離正道，自招滅亡；愚頑人逍遙自在，毀掉自己。

婦人說：「主啊，沒錯，可是狗也吃主人飯桌上掉下來的碎渣呀！」

自高自大招惹紛爭，虛心受教才是睿智。

然而，屬血氣的人不接受從上帝來的聖靈的教導，認為愚不可及，無法明白，因為只有屬靈的人才能參透。屬靈的人能夠參透萬事，但沒有人能參透他。「誰曾知道主的心意，能夠指教祂呢？」但我們明白基督的心意。

你們必須謹慎，切勿拒絕對你們說話的上帝。因為以色列人違背了在地上警戒他們的人，尚且逃脫不了懲罰，何況我們違背從天上警戒我們的上帝呢？
