Festus conferred with his advisers and then replied,“ Very well! You have appealed to Caesar, and to Caesar you will go!”

非斯都與議會商酌後、答曰：『汝既上訴於凱撒、自當移解於凱撒！』

After Festus had conferred with his council, he declared:“ You have appealed to Caesar. To Caesar you will go!”

Festus talked it over with the members of his court. Then he said,“ You have made an appeal to Caesar. To Caesar you will go!”

Then Festus, when he had conferred with his council, answered,“ To Caesar you have appealed; to Caesar you shall go.”

Then after Festus conferred with his council, he replied,“ You have appealed to Caesar; to Caesar you will go.”

Then when Festus had conferred with his council, he answered,“ You have appealed to Caesar; to Caesar you shall go.”

Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered,“ You have appealed to Caesar? To Caesar you shall go!”

Then Festus, when he had conferred with the council, answered, Thou hast appealed unto Cæsar: unto Cæsar shalt thou go.

For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die.

Human defiance only enhances your glory, for you use it as a weapon.

Only I can tell you the future before it even happens. Everything I plan will come to pass, for I do whatever I wish.I will call a swift bird of prey from the east— a leader from a distant land to come and do my bidding. I have said what I would do, and I will do it.

That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said,“ Be encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good News in Rome as well.”

All the people of the earth are nothing compared to him. He does as he pleases among the angels of heaven and among the people of the earth. No one can stop him or say to him,‘ What do you mean by doing these things?’

Afterward Paul felt compelled by the Spirit to go over to Macedonia and Achaia before going to Jerusalem.“ And after that,” he said,“ I must go on to Rome!”

And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News.For everyone here, including the whole palace guard, knows that I am in chains because of Christ.And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear.

As soon as I have delivered this money and completed this good deed of theirs, I will come to see you on my way to Spain.And I am sure that when I come, Christ will richly bless our time together.

When we arrived in Rome, Paul was permitted to have his own private lodging, though he was guarded by a soldier.

But Paul appealed to have his case decided by the emperor. So I ordered that he be held in custody until I could arrange to send him to Caesar.”

Who can command things to happen without the Lord’s permission?

And Agrippa said to Festus,“ He could have been set free if he hadn’t appealed to Caesar.”When the time came, we set sail for Italy. Paul and several other prisoners were placed in the custody of a Roman officer named Julius, a captain of the Imperial Regiment.
