“ You only have I chosen of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your sins.”

因為時候到了，審判要從神的家開始。如果先從我們開始，那麼，那些不肯信從神福音的人會有什麼樣的結局呢？

神要把患難和困苦加給一切作惡之人的靈魂，先是猶太人的，後是外邦人的；

這些就是挪亞兒子的宗族，各隨自己的譜系、自己的國家。洪水之後，地上的列國都是從他們分散出來的。

我們像是自古以來沒有被你管轄過的人，又像是沒有被稱為你名下的人。

接著，耶穌開始斥責那些他曾經在其中行了許多神蹟的城市，因為那裡的人不肯悔改：「哥拉汛哪，你有禍了！伯賽達呀，你有禍了！因為在你們當中行過的神蹟，如果行在提爾和西頓，那裡的人早就會披麻蒙灰悔改了。不過我告訴你們：在那審判的日子，提爾和西頓所受的，將要比你們還容易受呢！而你——迦百農啊，你將被高舉到天上嗎？不，你將下到陰間。因為在你中間行過的神蹟，如果行在所多瑪，它就會存留到今天。不過我告訴你們：在那審判的日子，所多瑪之地所受的，將要比你還容易受呢！」

神實現了他的話語，就是他針對我們、針對那些審判我們的審判官所說的，為要使極大的禍患臨到我們身上；像這樣在耶路撒冷所發生的禍患，在普天之下從來沒有發生過。

他向雅各宣告他的話語，向以色列宣告他的律例和法規。

地上的萬族中，凡不上耶路撒冷敬拜大君王萬軍之耶和華的，就不會有雨水降在他們的地上。如果埃及民族不上來參與，就不會有雨水降在他們的地上；這就是耶和華要降下的災疫，用來擊打那些不上來守住棚節的國家，

那知道主人的意思，卻沒有預備，也不照著主人的意思去做的奴僕，將會受很多鞭打；但那因為不知道而做了該打之事的人，將會受很少鞭打。所以誰被賜予的多，將來向誰索取的也多；託給誰多，將來向誰要求的也更多。

他從一個人造出人類萬族，使他們住在整個地面上，預先設定了他們的年限和所住的疆界，
