So he said,“ The secrets of the kingdom of God have been given for you to know, but to the rest it is in parables, so that Looking they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

He answered,“ Because the secrets of the kingdom of heaven have been given for you to know, but it has not been given to them.

On the contrary, we speak God’s hidden wisdom in a mystery, a wisdom God predestined before the ages for our glory.

Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the proclamation about Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept silent for long agesbut now revealed and made known through the prophetic Scriptures, according to the command of the eternal God to advance the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles—

The mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have briefly written above.By reading this you are able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ.This was not made known to people in other generations as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit:The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body, and partners in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.I was made a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace that was given to me by the working of his power.This grace was given to me— the least of all the saints— to proclaim to the Gentiles the incalculable riches of Christ,and to shed light for all about the administration of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things.This is so that God’s multi-faceted wisdom may now be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavens.

This has now been made evident through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who has abolished death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
