爾既與基督同死、以絕世之小學、胡為從乎世、服於儀文乎、

若爾與基督同死、脫斯世之賤質、何仍遵儀文、似猶活於世俗中、

爾等既與基督同死、而已灑然脫於世俗之蒙學矣、乃何又鰓鰓遵循人為之禁令、一若尚生於世俗之中耶？

If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to ordinances,

If you died with the Messiah to the elemental forces of this world, why do you live as if you still belonged to the world? Why do you submit to regulations:

Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

If you have died with Christ to the elemental spirits of the world, why do you submit to them as though you lived in the world?

慎勿為曲學空言所誘、彼所從者、乃人之遺傳、世之小學、非遵基督、

我儕當未成人、亦為此世小學束縛、

爾勿以飲食、節期、月朔、安息日故、被人擬議、

繩我儕者、儀文之券、以基督釘十字架、塗抹去之、

我知吾儕自上帝出、亦知舉世從惡敵、

凡為基督歷憂患、可無過、基督為我身遭憂患、爾亦當同心立志、今而後、生於世、勿從人欲、乃順上帝旨、我生斯世、從異邦人之俗亦至矣、邪侈縱欲、沉湎、蕩檢、饕餮過度、及拜偶像、尤非所宜、

如是、兄弟賴基督身、亦猶脫法而從復生之人、結果為上帝榮、當我從欲時、情轉因律法而為惡、動乎四體、厥果惟死、今既脫繩我之法、得服事主、非藉虛文于疇昔、乃感聖神而維新、

我因法而脫於法、得生以事上帝、我與基督同釘十字架、我不生、基督在我心則生、是我之生、因信上帝子而生、彼曾愛我、為我舍己者也、

勿為諸異端煽惑、以恩道堅厥心、則得益、如飲食是別、何益之有、

我雖不能無血氣、而非以血氣戰、

惟有守法之儀文、故我儕相敵、基督身死而廢之、使二為一、而相和如新造之人、

淫亂之男女乎、豈不知狗世之情欲者、則逆上帝、凡狗世之情欲、則其違逆上帝也明矣、

我則不然、我所誇者、惟吾主耶穌基督十字架之道、吾為斯道、視己如釘十字架、視世亦然、

我以爾道授彼、世人惡之、因其不從世、如我不從世、我非彼離世是求、乃保之、使不陷於惡、彼不從世、如我不從世、

今識上帝更為上帝所識、奈何復向委靡卑狹之小學而從之乎、爾如守日、月、節、年、我恐為爾徒勞矣、兄弟乎、我願爾如我、如爾、爾始不虧我、

爾從世、世人必以為其類而愛之、爾不從世、我乃選爾出乎世、故世人惡爾、
