bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you are also to forgive.

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Put up with one another. Forgive one another if you are holding something against someone. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you.

For judgment is without mercy to the one who has not shown mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

“ For if you forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well.But if you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your offenses.

Now we who are strong have an obligation to bear the weaknesses of those without strength, and not to please ourselves.Each one of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.

Be on your guard. If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and comes back to you seven times, saying,‘ I repent,’ you must forgive him.”

But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High. For he is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.Be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.“ Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

Then Jesus said,“ Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided his clothes and cast lots.

by purity, by knowledge, by patience, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love,

Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone in debt to us. And do not bring us into temptation.”

Therefore welcome one another, just as Christ also welcomed you, to the glory of God.

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

Anyone you forgive, I do too. For what I have forgiven— if I have forgiven anything— it is for your benefit in the presence of Christ,

Seeing their faith he said,“ Friend, your sins are forgiven.”Then the scribes and the Pharisees began to think to themselves,“ Who is this man who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”But perceiving their thoughts, Jesus replied to them,“ Why are you thinking this in your hearts?Which is easier: to say,‘ Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say,‘ Get up and walk’?But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”— he told the paralyzed man,“ I tell you: Get up, take your stretcher, and go home.”

Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,

For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

and walk in love, as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.

“ If your brother sins against you, go tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother.But if he won’t listen, take one or two others with you, so that by the testimony of two or three witnesses every fact may be established.If he doesn’t pay attention to them, tell the church. If he doesn’t pay attention even to the church, let him be like a Gentile and a tax collector to you.

Then he said to her,“ Your sins are forgiven.”Those who were at the table with him began to say among themselves,“ Who is this man who even forgives sins?”And he said to the woman,“ Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”

Then Peter approached him and asked,“ Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? As many as seven times?”“ I tell you, not as many as seven,” Jesus replied,“ but seventy times seven.“ For this reason, the kingdom of heaven can be compared to a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.When he began to settle accounts, one who owed ten thousand talents was brought before him.Since he did not have the money to pay it back, his master commanded that he, his wife, his children, and everything he had be sold to pay the debt.“ At this, the servant fell facedown before him and said,‘ Be patient with me, and I will pay you everything.’Then the master of that servant had compassion, released him, and forgave him the loan.“ That servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii. He grabbed him, started choking him, and said,‘ Pay what you owe!’“ At this, his fellow servant fell down and began begging him,‘ Be patient with me, and I will pay you back.’But he wasn’t willing. Instead, he went and threw him into prison until he could pay what was owed.When the other servants saw what had taken place, they were deeply distressed and went and reported to their master everything that had happened.Then, after he had summoned him, his master said to him,‘ You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.Shouldn’t you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’And because he was angry, his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured until he could pay everything that was owed.So also my heavenly Father will do to you unless every one of you forgives his brother or sister from your heart.”

As it is, to have legal disputes against one another is already a defeat for you. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?Instead, you yourselves do wrong and cheat— and you do this to brothers and sisters!
