The king also chose Daniel and two others as administrators to supervise the high officers and protect the king’s interests.

with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. The satraps were made accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss.

He placed three leaders over them. One of the leaders was Daniel. The royal rulers were made accountable to the three leaders. Then the king wouldn’t lose any of his wealth.

and over them three high officials, of whom Daniel was one, to whom these satraps should give account, so that the king might suffer no loss.

Then at Belshazzar’s command, Daniel was dressed in purple robes, a gold chain was hung around his neck, and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.

I am told that you can give interpretations and solve difficult problems. If you can read these words and tell me their meaning, you will be clothed in purple robes of royal honor, and you will have a gold chain placed around your neck. You will become the third highest ruler in the kingdom.”

Be diligent, and don’t neglect this matter, for we must not permit the situation to harm the king’s interests.”

Then the king appointed Daniel to a high position and gave him many valuable gifts. He made Daniel ruler over the whole province of Babylon, as well as chief over all his wise men.At Daniel’s request, the king appointed Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be in charge of all the affairs of the province of Babylon, while Daniel remained in the king’s court.

For my people and I have been sold to those who would kill, slaughter, and annihilate us. If we had merely been sold as slaves, I could remain quiet, for that would be too trivial a matter to warrant disturbing the king.”

“ Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a king who decided to bring his accounts up to date with servants who had borrowed money from him.

Now, a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful.

Trusting a fool to convey a message is like cutting off one’s feet or drinking poison!

“ Therefore, the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I promised that your branch of the tribe of Levi would always be my priests. But I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me.

She offers you long life in her right hand, and riches and honor in her left.

Before he left, he called together ten of his servants and divided among them ten pounds of silver, saying,‘ Invest this for me while I am gone.’But his people hated him and sent a delegation after him to say,‘ We do not want him to be our king.’“ After he was crowned king, he returned and called in the servants to whom he had given the money. He wanted to find out what their profits were.The first servant reported,‘ Master, I invested your money and made ten times the original amount!’“‘ Well done!’ the king exclaimed.‘ You are a good servant. You have been faithful with the little I entrusted to you, so you will be governor of ten cities as your reward.’“ The next servant reported,‘ Master, I invested your money and made five times the original amount.’“‘ Well done!’ the king said.‘ You will be governor over five cities.’“ But the third servant brought back only the original amount of money and said,‘ Master, I hid your money and kept it safe.I was afraid because you are a hard man to deal with, taking what isn’t yours and harvesting crops you didn’t plant.’“‘ You wicked servant!’ the king roared.‘ Your own words condemn you. If you knew that I’m a hard man who takes what isn’t mine and harvests crops I didn’t plant,why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.’“ Then, turning to the others standing nearby, the king ordered,‘ Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one who has ten pounds.’“‘ But, master,’ they said,‘ he already has ten pounds!’“‘ Yes,’ the king replied,‘ and to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.And as for these enemies of mine who didn’t want me to be their king— bring them in and execute them right here in front of me.’”

So the employer called him in and said,‘ What’s this I hear about you? Get your report in order, because you are going to be fired.’
