我看見有一個白色的大寶座和那坐在上面的；地和天都從他面前逃避了；再也找不着其位置了。我看見死了的人、大的小的、都站在寶座前：案卷都展開了。另有一卷是生命冊、也展開了。死了的人、都從這些案卷所記的、照他們所行的受審判。於是海便交出了其中的死人；死亡和陰間也交出了其中的死人；他們都照各人所行的受審判。然後死亡和陰間也被丟在火湖裏。這火湖就是第二次的死。若有人在生命冊上沒被記名的、就被丟在火湖裏。

米該雅說：『所以你要聽永恆主的話：我看見永恆主在寶座上坐着，天上萬軍侍立在他旁邊、在他左右；

『因為你看吧，永恆主必乘着火來臨，他的車輦如同旋風；他必用他怒氣之猛烈施報應，用火燄行他的叱責。因為永恆主必用火施審判，用刀向凡有血肉的行判罰；而永恆主刺死的人一定很多。
