“ While I was thinking about the horns, there before me was another horn, a little one, which came up among them; and three of the first horns were uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully.

“ I thought about the horns. Then I saw another horn. It was a little one. It grew up among the other horns. Three of the first horns were pulled up by their roots to make room for it. The little horn had eyes like the eyes of a human being. Its mouth was always bragging.

I considered the horns, and behold, there came up among them another horn, a little one, before which three of the first horns were plucked up by the roots. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man, and a mouth speaking great things.

As I was looking at the horns, suddenly another small horn appeared among them. Three of the first horns were torn out by the roots to make room for it. This little horn had eyes like human eyes and a mouth that was boasting arrogantly.

那時有說誇大和褻瀆話的口給了獸，也有權柄給了牠、可以行事四十二個月。牠就開口褻瀆上帝，褻瀆他的名和他榮現之幕所於天上。

從這四個角之中的一個又長出另一個角來，是小的，向南、向東、向華美之地漸漸成了非常強大。牠漸漸強大、高及天象，將些天象和星宿拋落地上，用腳踐踏。牠逕自擴大勢力，甚至自以為是天象之君，竟把不斷獻與天象之君的燔祭除掉，把天象之君的聖建築拋棄。有軍隊被遣派，以犯罪行為阻撓不斷獻之祭；牠將真理拋棄地上，任意而行，無不順利。

蝗蟲的形狀彷彿是馬豫備好了要出戰一樣。牠們頭上戴的像華冠、彷彿是金的；他們的臉面像人的臉面；

凡油滑嘴脣和說大話的舌頭願永恆主都割斷。

我看見一隻獸從海裏上來，有十個角七個頭；十個角上戴着十個冠冕；七個頭上還有褻瀆的名。

『那王必任意而行，自高自大超過所有的神，又說了荒謬怪誕的話來攻擊萬神之神上帝。他倒會亨通順利，直到上帝的震怒發盡；因為鐵定的事必定作成。

我看見另一隻獸從地際上來。牠有兩個角像羔羊的角；牠說話像龍。牠行了頭一隻獸的一切權柄在獸面前，叫地和住在地上的人都拜頭一隻獸、就是受了能致死之傷還得治好的那隻獸。牠又行大神迹，甚至在人面前叫火從天上降在地上。

他們發出虛妄之膨脹言論，用肉體的私慾和邪蕩餌誘那些僅僅能逃脫在謬妄中過生活者的人。

我又願認清牠頭上的十個角、和那另長起來的一個角；在這個角前面怎樣有三個角被牠打落；這角怎樣有眼、有口、能說誇大的話；其形狀怎樣強猛、過於牠的同類。我在觀看，就看見這角同聖民接戰，竟勝了他們，直到壽高年邁者來臨，至高者之聖民得伸雪，那時聖民擁有國度的時候就到了。『那侍立者這麼說：「第四隻獸就是地上必有之第四個國，跟所有的國大不相同。牠必吞喫全地，踐踏它，嚼碎它。至於那十個角呢、從這國中必有十個王起來；此後必另有個王起來；跟先前所有的王都不相同；他必將三個王制伏住。他必說話頂撞至高者；必折磨至高者之聖民；想要改變節期和禮節規矩；聖民必被交付於他的手、一個時期、兩個時期、半個時期。

那敵對者、那高抬自己、超高一切稱為神或受人崇拜者，甚至坐在上帝之殿堂裏、自稱為神的。

這些人是好怨尤的埋怨者，順着自己的私慾走，口中說膨脹的話，為着利益而以貌媚人。

這四國執政的末期、罪惡貫滿的時候、必有一個王立起來，鐵面無情，慣用雙關詐語。他的權勢必然強盛，卻不是出於他自己的權勢：他必行極出奇的毁滅，順利成功而行；他又必毁滅強盛者和聖者之民。他用權術使手中的詭詐順利進行；心裏計畫着擴大自己勢力的事；當人安樂自得、坦然無備的時候、毁滅許多人；竟要站立起來攻擊萬君之君；至終卻因非人之手而被破毁。

不要誇口說高傲的話，不要口出傲慢之言，因為永恆主是無所不知的上帝，人的行為都被他衡量。

因為人必逕愛自己、愛銀錢、矜誇、狂傲、毁謗、悖逆父母、忘恩負義、不虔聖、
