我何等愛慕你的律法，終日不住地思想。你的命令常存在我心裏，使我比仇敵有智慧。我比我的教師更通達，因我思想你的法度。我比年老的更明白，因我謹守你的訓詞。

你們查考聖經，因你們以為其中有永生；而這經正是為我作見證的。

並且知道你從小明白聖經，這聖經能使你因在基督耶穌裏的信有得救的智慧。聖經都是上帝所默示的，於教訓、督責、使人歸正、教導人學義都是有益的，叫屬上帝的人得以完全，預備行各樣的善事。

「你們要將我這些話存在心裏，留在意念中，繫在手上作記號，戴在額上作經匣。

你在何烈山站在耶和華－你上帝面前的那日，耶和華對我說：『你為我召集百姓，我要叫他們聽見我的話，使他們活在世上的日子，可以學習敬畏我，又可以教導他們的兒女。』

我今日吩咐你的這些話都要記在心上，也要殷勤教導你的兒女。無論你坐在家裏，走在路上，躺下，起來，都要吟誦。要繫在手上作記號，戴在額上作經匣；又要寫在你房屋的門框上和你的城門上。
