免其對於昆弟、中心驕矜、違此誡命、偏於左右、則可延年於國、在以色列中、爰及子孫、

心勿驕奢、藐視同儕、勿違誡命、勿偏於左、勿偏於右、則可享遐齡、爰及子孫、於以色列族中。

俾不心驕藐視同族人、不向左不向右偏離誡命、則可在以色列人中久居王位、爰及其子孫、

and not consider himself better than his fellow Israelites and turn from the law to the right or to the left. Then he and his descendants will reign a long time over his kingdom in Israel.

He won’t think of himself as being better than his people are. He won’t turn away from the law. He won’t turn to the right or the left. Then he and his sons after him will rule over his kingdom in Israel for a long time.

that his heart may not be lifted up above his brothers, and that he may not turn aside from the commandment, either to the right hand or to the left, so that he may continue long in his kingdom, he and his children, in Israel.

This regular reading will prevent him from becoming proud and acting as if he is above his fellow citizens. It will also prevent him from turning away from these commands in the smallest way. And it will ensure that he and his descendants will reign for many generations in Israel.

Then his heart will not be exalted above his countrymen, he will not turn from this command to the right or the left, and he and his sons will continue reigning many years in Israel.

so that his heart will not be haughty toward his countrymen, and that he will not turn away from the commandment to the right or the left, so that he and his sons may live long in his kingdom in the midst of Israel.

所以，你們要照耶和華－你們上帝所吩咐的謹守遵行，不可偏離左右。

因為大衛除了赫人烏利亞那件事，都行耶和華眼中看為正的事，一生沒有違背耶和華一切所吩咐的。

但他的心高傲，靈也剛愎，以致行事狂傲，就被革去國度的王位，奪走榮耀。他被趕出離開世人，他的心變為獸心，與野驢同住，吃草如牛，身體被天上的露水滴濕，直到他知道，至高的上帝在人的國中掌權，憑自己的旨意立人治國。伯沙撒啊，你是他的兒子，你雖知道這一切，卻不謙卑自己，竟向天上的主自高，差人將他殿中的器皿拿到你面前，你和大臣、王后、妃嬪用這器皿飲酒。你又讚美那不能看、不能聽、無知無識，用金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石造的神明，沒有將榮耀歸與那手中掌管你氣息，管理你一切行動的上帝。

耶和華啊，我的心不狂妄，我的眼不高傲；重大和測不透的事，我也不敢行。我使我心安穩平靜，好像母親懷中斷奶的孩子；我的心在我裏面如同斷過奶的孩子。

因萬軍之耶和華的一個日子要臨到所有驕傲狂妄的，臨到一切自高的，使他們降為卑；

只留一個支派給他的兒子，使我僕人大衛在我所選擇立我名的耶路撒冷城那裏，在我面前常有燈光。

因為財富不能永留，冠冕豈能存到萬代？

就是聽見我指着這地方和其上居民所說的話，你的心就軟化，在我面前謙卑下來，撕裂衣服，向我哭泣，因此我應允你。這是耶和華說的。

悖逆與占卜的罪相等，頑梗與拜偶像的罪孽相同。因為你厭棄耶和華的命令，耶和華也厭棄你作王。」

你的牛羊增多，你的金銀增多，你擁有的一切全都增多，於是你的心高傲，忘記耶和華－你的上帝。他曾將你從埃及地為奴之家領出來，

你要記得，這四十年耶和華－你的上帝在曠野一路引導你，是要磨煉你，考驗你，為要知道你的心如何，是否願意遵守他的誡命。

他的禱告，上帝怎樣應允他，他未謙卑以前的一切罪愆過犯，以及在何處建築丘壇，設立亞舍拉和雕刻的偶像，看哪，都寫在何賽的書上。

我吩咐你們的話，你們不可加添，也不可刪減，好叫你們遵守耶和華－你們上帝的命令，就是我所吩咐你們的。

因此你的僕人受警戒，遵守這些有極大的賞賜。

他在急難的時候懇求耶和華－他的上帝，並在他列祖的上帝面前極其謙卑。

不可吃血，好讓你和你的子孫可以得福，因為你行了耶和華眼中看為正的事。

你的眾子若謹守我的約和我所教導他們的法度，他們的子孫必永遠坐在你的寶座上。」

你說，看哪，你打敗了以東，就心高氣傲，以此為榮。現在，你待在家裏算了吧，為何要惹禍使自己和猶大一同敗亡呢？」

你要謹守聽從我所吩咐的一切話，好讓你和你的子孫可以永遠得福，因為你行耶和華－你上帝眼中看為善、看為正的事。」

你果然打敗了以東，就心高氣傲。你以此為榮，就待在自己家裏算了吧，為何要惹禍，使自己和猶大一同敗亡呢？」

烏西雅既強盛，就心高氣傲，以致敗壞。他干犯耶和華－他的上帝，進耶和華的殿，要在香壇上燒香。

但我不從他手裏奪走整個國家，卻使他在活着的日子作君王，是因我所揀選的僕人大衛遵守我的誡命律例。

又恐怕我因所得的啟示太高深，就過於高抬自己，所以有一根刺加在我身上，就是撒但的差役來折磨我，免得我過於高抬自己。

要按照所教導你的律法、所告訴你的典章去執行；他們指示你的判決，你不可偏離左右。

但他不像他父親瑪拿西在耶和華面前那樣謙卑下來。這亞們的罪越犯越大。

同樣，你們年輕的，要順服年長的。你們大家都要以謙卑當衣服穿上，彼此順服，因為「上帝抵擋驕傲的人，但賜恩給謙卑的人。」

耶和華對耶戶說：「因你辦好我眼中看為正的事，照我的心意待亞哈家，你的子孫必接續你坐以色列的王位，直到第四代。」

敬畏耶和華使人長壽；惡人的年歲必減少。

希西家卻沒有照他所蒙的恩回報，因他心裏驕傲，所以憤怒要臨到他，臨到猶大和耶路撒冷。但希西家和耶路撒冷的居民為了心裏驕傲，就一同謙卑，以致耶和華的憤怒在希西家的日子沒有臨到他們。

然而，因你父親大衛的緣故，我不在你的日子行這事，而要從你兒子的手中撕裂這國。只是我不撕裂全國，卻要因我僕人大衛和我所選擇的耶路撒冷，保留一個支派給你的兒子。」

凡我所吩咐你們的事，你們都要謹守遵行，不可加添，也不可刪減。」

惡人卻不得福樂，他的日子好像影兒不得長久，因為他不敬畏上帝。

看哪，惡人自高自大，心不正直；惟義人必因他的信得生。

撒母耳對掃羅說：「你做了糊塗事了，沒有遵守耶和華－你上帝吩咐你的命令。不然，耶和華會在以色列中堅立你的國度，直到永遠。現在你的國度必不長久。耶和華已經尋着一個合他心意的人，立他作百姓的君王，因為你沒有遵守耶和華所吩咐你的。」
