you must not leave the body hanging on the pole overnight. Be sure to bury it that same day, because anyone who is hung on a pole is under God’s curse. You must not desecrate the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.

既然基督為我們成了詛咒，就把我們從律法的詛咒中贖出來。因為經上記着：「凡掛在木頭上的都是受詛咒的。」

因為這日是預備日，又因為那安息日是個大日子，猶太人就來求彼拉多叫人打斷他們的腿，把他們搬走，免得屍首在安息日留在十字架上。

連地也玷污了，我懲罰那地的罪孽，地就吐出它的居民來。

神使那無罪的，替我們成為罪，好使我們在他裏面成為神的義。

你不可把可憎之物帶進你的家，否則，你就像它一樣成為當毀滅的。你要徹底憎恨它，極其厭惡它，因為這是當毀滅的。」

因此，以色列人在仇敵面前站立不住。他們在仇敵面前轉身逃跑，因為他們成了當滅的物。你們若不把當滅的物從你們中間除掉，我就不再與你們同在了。

隨後，約書亞把這五個王殺死，掛在五棵樹上。他們就被掛在樹上，直到晚上。日落的時候，約書亞吩咐人把屍首從樹上取下來，丟在他們躲過的洞裏，把幾塊大石頭放在洞口，直存到今日。

為我弟兄，我骨肉之親，就是自己被詛咒，與基督分離，我也願意。

他把艾城的王掛在樹上，直到晚上。日落的時候，約書亞吩咐人把屍首從樹上取下來，丟在城門口，並在屍首上堆了一大堆石頭，直存到今日。

耶和華對摩西說：「拿下百姓中所有的領袖，對着太陽把他們懸掛在我面前，使我向以色列所發的怒氣可以平息。」

這樣，你們就不會污穢所住之地，因為血能使地污穢；若有血流在地上，除非流那殺人者的血，否則那地就不得潔淨。你們不可玷污所住之地，就是我住在當中的地，因為我－耶和華住在以色列人中間。」

若有人不愛主，這人該受詛咒。主啊，願你來！

請把他的子孫七人交給我們，我們好在耶和華面前，把他們懸掛在基比亞，就是耶和華揀選掃羅的地方。」王說：「我必交給你們。」
