离尸体最近的那座城的每位长老要在山谷中，在颈项被打断的母牛犊上面洗手，

那城的长老们要在被打断颈项的小母牛上方洗手，

那城的眾長老，就是離被殺的人最近的，要在那山谷中，在所打折頸項的母牛犢以上洗手，

離那被刺死的人最近的、那城的眾長老要在谿谷間在脖子被打折的母牛犢以上洗手。

離見殺者最近之邑、其長老必在谷中、盥手於折頸之犢上、

甚近之邑、其長老、必於宰犢谿中盥濯其手、

離被殺者最近之邑、其長老必盥手在谷中斬頸之犢上、

Then all the elders of the town nearest the body shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley,

Then all the elders from the town that is nearest to the body will wash their hands. They will wash them over the young cow whose neck they broke in the valley.

And all the elders of that city nearest to the slain man shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley,

“ The elders of the town must wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken.

All the elders of the city nearest to the victim will wash their hands by the stream over the young cow whose neck has been broken.

And all the elders of that city which is nearest to the person killed shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley;

And all the elders of that city nearest to the slain man shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley.

All the elders of the city nearest to the victim will wash their hands by the stream over the young cow whose neck has been broken.

耶和华啊！我要洗手表明无辜，才来绕着你的祭坛行走；

我谨守我心纯洁实在徒然；我洗手表明清白也是枉然。

神啊！你是拯救我的神，求你救我脱离流人血的罪；我的舌头就必颂扬你的公义。

这些只是关于饮食和各样洁净的礼仪，是在“更新的时候”来到之前，为肉体立的规例。

谁能知道自己的错误呢？求你赦免我隐而未现的过失。

彼拉多见无济于事，反会引起骚动，就拿水在群众面前洗手，说：“流这人的血，与我无关，你们自己负责吧。”群众回答：“流他的血的责任，归在我们和我们子孙的身上吧。”

求你彻底洗净我的罪孽，洁除我的罪。

求你用牛膝草洁净我，我就干净；求你洗净我，我就比雪更白。

我若用雪水洗净我的身，又用碱水洁净我的手，

你虽然用碱洗涤，多加肥皂，你罪孽的污渍仍留在我面前。”这是主耶和华的宣告。
