If you see your fellow Israelite’s donkey or ox fallen on the road, do not ignore it. Help the owner get it to its feet.

Suppose you see your neighbor’s donkey or ox that has fallen down on the road. Then don’t act as if you didn’t see it. Help the owner get it up on its feet again.

You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fallen down by the way and ignore them. You shall help him to lift them up again.

那個人卻要顯示自己為義，就對耶穌說：「那麼，誰是我的鄰人呢？」耶穌回答說：「有一個人從耶路撒冷下到耶利哥去，途中遇到強盜。他們剝去他的衣服，把他打得半死，丟下他走了。恰好有一個祭司從那條路下來，看見他，就從另一邊走了過去。有一個利未人也正好來到那地方，看見他，也同樣地從另一邊走了過去。可是，有一個撒馬利亞人行路來到他那裡，看見他，就動了憐憫之心，上前來，在他的傷處倒上油和酒，包紮好，然後把他扶上自己的牲口，帶到旅店裡照顧他。第二天，他拿出兩個銀幣交給店家，說『請你照顧他，一切額外的費用，我回來的時候將還給你。』「你認為，這三個人中，哪一個是落在強盜手中那人的鄰人呢？」律法師說：「是那個憐憫他的人。」耶穌對他說：「你去如此做吧。」

我們堅強的人，應該擔當不堅強人的軟弱，不求自己的喜悅。

因此，你們要把發軟的手、發痠的腿伸直吧！也要為你們的腳把道路修直，好使瘸腿的不至扭腳，反得痊癒。

所以為了你們的靈魂，我會極其樂意地付出，甚至完全付出。難道我愛你們越多，就越少得到你們的愛嗎？

弟兄們，我們勸你們：要勸誡懶散的人，安慰膽怯的人，扶助軟弱的人，對所有的人都要恆久忍耐。

但是我告訴你們：要愛你們的敵人，為那些逼迫你們的人禱告，
