Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

摩西籲耶和華、耶和華、示以木、投諸水中、其味即淡。在彼耶和華設法度、以試其民、

巴比倫王使臣既至、詢問斯土異跡、時上帝暫不祐希西家以試其心。

我亦導斯民、自埃及歷曠野、凡四十年、使得亞摩哩人之地、

蓋爾所為者、蒙爾上帝耶和華錫嘏、爾行曠野、歷四十年、爾之上帝耶和華、導爾佑爾、使無缺乏。

居於曠野、以爾祖未識之嗎嗱飼爾、使爾自卑、以試爾心、終有裨益。

歷四十年、我導爾於野、爾衣不毀、爾履不敝、

耶和華諭摩西曰、我必自天雨餅、以贍汝用、使民出外、日斂所需、我行是以試民、果遵我例否。

耶和華兮、余稽古昔、念爾異跡、

使爾信主、見試而彌堅、非若金、一經煆煉、漸即消磨者可比、待耶穌基督顯日、得頌美尊榮、

導選民於野、矜憫恆懷兮、

吾語汝、此人歸、以義見稱、較彼尤勝、蓋自高者、必降為卑、自卑者、將升為高也、○

厥後上帝試亞伯拉罕、呼之曰、亞伯拉罕。曰、予在此。

出埃及後四十年、十一月朔、摩西循耶和華命諭以色列族。

彼賜我莫大之恩、故曰、驕泰者、上帝擯斥、卑遜者、上帝賜恩、

人心詭譎、不可改易、難以灼知。我耶和華鑒察人心、視人所行、而加報施。

馬拿西於患難中、自怨自艾、禱列祖之上帝耶和華、耶和華允所祈、復其國祚、俾仍都於耶路撒冷、自是馬拿西知耶和華誠為上帝。

故勿聽其言、蓋爾上帝試爾、欲知爾一心一意、愛爾上帝耶和華否。

爾在埃及、丕著異跡、乃余列祖、懵然弗識、罔念爾鴻恩兮、在彼紅海、干爾震怒兮、

彼既涖臨、顯著斯土、誰能恆立、彼若鍜金之火、浣布之鹻、彼將坐而鍜銀、滌利未族之污、煉之若金銀、使無不義、然後獻禮於耶和華、

使人改過、去其驕心、

爾遘患難、籲呼於上、余拯之兮、余之所居、幽深玄遠、余之降詔、如發雷聲、在米利巴水濱、余已試爾兮、

昔者僅屬耳聞、今也始能目睹、故我自憾、坐於塗炭、旋有悔心。○

主前宜自卑、主將升爾、

金銀為洪爐所鍛鍊、人心為耶和華所鑒察。

宜思爾族為異邦人、惟外貌受人割禮者、議爾未嘗受割、當時、爾遠基督、以色列之政不與、諸應許之約不及、悉無所望、處世不識上帝、

希西家不酬斯恩、中心驕泰、於是干上帝震怒、降災於猶大族、耶路撒冷民、嗣後希西家及耶路撒冷民、汰其驕心、卑以自牧、故希西家存日、耶和華不降以災。○

不待人告之、自知人之中藏也、

爾毋畏、當憶疇昔、爾上帝耶和華降罰於法老、與埃及。

驕傲者流、必使為卑、蓋是日也、耶和華尊無二上。

馬拿西有所祈、上帝允之、未自卑之前、所犯罪愆、所築崇坵、所奉偶像、載於何賽之書特詳。○

使諸會知眾人心腹腎腸、我常監察、視其所行而報之、

爾雖知此篤信真理、吾不辭勞、俾爾強識、我生斯世、猶在帷幕之中、使爾憶道、吾以為宜、

吾以此後書、達爾良朋、使爾善心奮發、憶聖先知預言、及吾救主使徒之命、
