未來之事、彼不之知、其事之終、孰能告之、

氣之呼吸不能自主、死之猝至、亦不自持、在彼疆場、不能倖免、多行強暴、終難逭罰。

未來之事、人不能知、將成之事、孰能預告之、

Since no one knows the future, who can tell someone else what is to come?

No one knows what lies ahead. So who can tell someone else what’s going to happen?

For he does not know what is to be, for who can tell him how it will be?

Indeed, how can people avoid what they don’t know is going to happen?

Yet no one knows what will happen because who can tell him what will happen?

If no one knows what will happen, who can tell him when it will happen?

for he knoweth not that which shall be; for who can tell him how it shall be?

Yet no one knows what will happen because who can tell him what will happen?

For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be?

Surely no one knows the future, and no one can tell another person what will happen.

For he doesn’t know that which will be; for who can tell him how it will be?

For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, Like birds caught in a snare, So the sons of men are snared in an evil time, When it falls suddenly upon them.

For their calamity will rise suddenly, And who knows the ruin those two can bring?

A fool also multiplies words. No man knows what is to be; Who can tell him what will be after him?

For who knows what is good for man in life, all the days of his vain life which he passes like a shadow? Who can tell a man what will happen after him under the sun?

“ And at midnight a cry was heard:‘ Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.And the foolish said to the wise,‘ Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’But the wise answered, saying,‘ No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.“ Afterward the other virgins came also, saying,‘ Lord, Lord, open to us!’But he answered and said,‘ Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’“ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of,

Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.For when they say,“ Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

So I perceived that nothing is better than that a man should rejoice in his own works, for that is his heritage. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?
