What am I saying then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God, and I don’t desire that you would have fellowship with demons.

For this cause therefore I asked to see you and to speak with you. For because of the hope of Israel I am bound with this chain.”

You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham,‘ All the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.’

I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Yahweh, the hope of Israel, all who forsake you will be disappointed. Those who depart from me will be written in the earth, because they have forsaken Yahweh, the spring of living waters.

I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your offspring after you.I will give to you, and to your offspring after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”God said to Abraham,“ As for you, you will keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations.

In that day Yahweh made a covenant with Abram, saying,“ I have given this land to your offspring, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates:

That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as heirs.

“ Behold, the days come,” says Yahweh,“ that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which covenant of mine they broke, although I was a husband to them,” says Yahweh.“ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says Yahweh:“ I will put my law in their inward parts, and I will write it in their heart. Now for a long time Israel was without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without law.

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear,

You hope of Israel, its Savior in the time of trouble, why should you be as a foreigner in the land, and as a wayfaring man who turns aside to stay for a night?

because of the hope which is laid up for you in the heavens, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the Good News

You worship that which you don’t know. We worship that which we know; for salvation is from the Jews.

Strangers will stand and feed your flocks. Foreigners will work your fields and your vineyards.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,

“ Men, why are you doing these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;who in the generations gone by allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways.

“ Assemble yourselves and come. Draw near together, you who have escaped from the nations. Those have no knowledge who carry the wood of their engraved image, and pray to a god that can’t save.

“ My hand will be against the prophets who see false visions and who utter lying divinations. They will not be in the council of my people, neither will they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither will they enter into the land of Israel. Then you will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”

to whom God was pleased to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the commandment of God our Savior and the Lord Jesus Christ our hope;

to show mercy toward our fathers, to remember his holy covenant,

For the children of Israel shall live many days without king, and without prince, and without sacrifice, and without sacred stone, and without ephod or idols.

that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.

Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no other God but one.For though there are things that are called“ gods”, whether in the heavens or on earth; as there are many“ gods” and many“ lords”;yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.

Everyone who has this hope set on him purifies himself, even as he is pure.

“ Yahweh says:‘ If you can break my covenant of the day and my covenant of the night, so that there will not be day and night in their time;then may my covenant also be broken with David my servant, that he won’t have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.As the army of the sky can’t be counted, and the sand of the sea can’t be measured; so I will multiply the offspring of David my servant and the Levites who minister to me.’”Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying,“ Don’t consider what this people has spoken, saying,‘ Has Yahweh cast off the two families which he chose?’ Thus they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.”Yahweh says:“ If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;then I will also cast away the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not take of his offspring to be rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to be reversed and will have mercy on them.”

Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers,backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful;who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.
