亞希雅拿著自己身上所穿的新衣，把它撕成十二片，

在奉獻這神殿的典禮中，他們獻上公牛一百頭、公綿羊二百隻、綿羊羔四百隻；又照著以色列支派的數目獻上公山羊十二隻，作全以色列的贖罪祭。

叫你們在我的國裡坐在我的席上吃喝，又坐在寶座上審判以色列的十二支派。

約書亞把他們從約旦河取來的那十二塊石頭，豎立在吉甲。

“你要從人民中選十二個人，每支派一人，吩咐他們說：‘你們要從這裡，就是約旦河中間，祭司的腳所站的地方，取十二塊石頭，把它們帶過來，放在你們今夜要住宿的地方。’”

約書亞把這些話都寫在神的律法書上；又拿一塊大石頭，立在耶和華聖所旁邊的橡樹下。約書亞對全體人民說：“看哪，這塊石頭可以向我們作證，因為它聽見了耶和華對我們所說的一切話；所以這塊石頭要向你們作證，免得你們否認你們的神。”

又知道我蒙了神的恩，那幾位被譽為柱石的雅各、磯法和約翰，就向我和巴拿巴伸出右手互相許諾，我們要到外族人那裡去傳福音，他們要到受割禮的人那裡去傳福音；

你要為我築一座土壇，把你的燔祭、平安祭和牛羊獻在壇上；在我使人記念我名的地方，我都必到你那裡去賜福你。你若是為我築一座石壇，不可用鑿過的石頭來建築，因為你在石頭上一動用工具，就把壇污穢了。你上我的壇，不可用梯級，免得在壇上露出你的下體來。’”

以色列人就照著約書亞吩咐的行了；他們照著耶和華吩咐約書亞的，按著以色列十二支派的數目，從約旦河中間取了十二塊石頭，把它們帶過去，到他們住宿的地方，就放在那裡。約書亞又在約旦河中間，在抬約櫃的祭司的腳所站的地方，豎立十二塊石頭；那些石頭到今日還在那裡。

城牆有十二座根基，根基上有羊羔的十二使徒的名字。

按著以色列眾子的名字，這些寶石要有十二塊；按著他們的名字刻印章，按他們的名字各代表十二個支派。

“你要吩咐以色列人，要從他們手中取杖，按著父家每支派一根，從他們所有的領袖，按著他們的父家，共取十二根杖，你要把各人的名字寫在各人的杖上；
