I will place over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd.

I will place one shepherd over them. He will belong to the family line of my servant David. He will take good care of them. He will look after them. He will be their shepherd.

And I will set up over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he shall feed them: he shall feed them and be their shepherd.

他們卻要事奉耶和華－他們的神，事奉我為他們所興起的大衛王。」

伯利恆的以法他啊，你在猶大諸城中雖小，將來必有一位從你那裏出來，在以色列中為我作掌權者；他的根源自亙古，從太初就有。因此，耶和華要將以色列人交給敵人，直到臨產的婦人生下孩子；那時，他其餘的弟兄必回到以色列人那裏。他必倚靠耶和華的大能，倚靠耶和華－他神之名的威嚴，站立並牧養，使他們安然居住；因為現在他必尊大，直到地極。這位就是和平。當亞述侵入我們領土，踐踏我們宮殿時，我們就立七個牧者，八個領袖攻擊它。

當側耳而聽，來到我這裏；要聽，就必存活。我要與你們立永約，就是應許給大衛那可靠的慈愛。看哪，我已立他作萬民的見證，立他作萬民的君王和發令者。

到了大牧人顯現的時候，你們必得到那永不衰殘、榮耀的冠冕。

但願賜平安的神，就是那憑永約之血，把羣羊的大牧人－我們主耶穌從死人中領出來的神，

從耶西的殘幹必長出嫩枝，他的根所抽的枝子必結果實。

你們從前好像迷路的羊，如今卻歸回你們靈魂的牧人和監督了。

後來以色列人必歸回，尋求耶和華－他們的神和他們的王大衛。在末後的日子，他們必敬畏耶和華，領受他的恩惠。

我必設立牧人照管他們，牧養他們。他們不再懼怕，不再驚惶，沒有一個失喪的。這是耶和華說的。「看哪，日子將到，我要為大衛興起公義的苗裔；他必掌王權，行事有智慧，在地上施行公平和公義。這是耶和華說的。在他的日子，猶大必得救，以色列也安然居住。他的名必稱為『耶和華－我們的義』。

「我－耶穌差遣我的使者，為了眾教會向你們證明這些事。我是大衛的根，是他的後裔；我是明亮的晨星。」

萬軍之耶和華說：刀劍哪，興起攻擊我的牧人，攻擊我的同伴吧！要擊打牧人，羊就分散了；我必反手攻擊那微小的。

智慧人的話語如同刺棒；這些嘉言好像釘穩的釘子，都是一個牧者所賜的。
