彼曰、此乃耶和華諭所羅巴伯之言曰、非以權勢、非以能力、乃藉我神、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、大山歟、爾為何、於所羅巴伯前、將成平壤、彼必出頂石而置之、有聲呼曰、恩寵、恩寵歸之、耶和華復諭我曰、所羅巴伯之手、既奠此室之基、其手亦必竣厥工、如是、爾則知萬軍之耶和華遣我就爾、誰藐視其日、以為細故乎、耶和華之七目、遍察全地、必喜見所羅巴伯手執準繩也、

大利烏王二年六月朔、耶和華藉先知哈該、諭撒拉鐵子猶大方伯所羅巴伯、及約撒答子大祭司約書亞曰、萬軍之耶和華曰、斯民云、建耶和華之室、其時未至、耶和華則藉先知哈該諭曰、斯室荒涼、爾居板蓋之室、於斯時宜乎、故萬軍之耶和華云、爾其自思所為、爾播多而穫少、食不得飽、飲不得足、衣不得暖、傭獲其值、盛於敝囊、萬軍之耶和華云、爾其自思所為、登山取木、以建斯室、我則悅之而獲榮、耶和華言之矣、爾望多而得少、攜之而歸、我則噓之、萬軍之耶和華曰、此何故耶、因我室荒涼、爾各亟於己室也、以爾之故、天靳其露、地靳其果、我命旱乾臨於斯土山岡、穀酒與油、暨地所產、其人與畜、爰及爾手勞而得者、○撒拉鐵子所羅巴伯、約撒答子大祭司約書亞、與諸遺民、遂遵其上帝耶和華之命、及先知哈該奉其上帝耶和華遣、所傳之言、民眾乃寅畏耶和華、耶和華之使者哈該、奉耶和華之命告民曰、耶和華云、我偕爾矣、耶和華感撒拉鐵子猶大方伯所羅巴伯、與約撒答子大祭司約書亞、及諸遺民之心、遂咸至、興工於其上帝萬軍耶和華之室、時、大利烏王二年、六月二十四日也、七月二十一日、耶和華藉先知哈該諭曰、

大利烏二年八月、耶和華諭易多孫、比利家子、先知撒迦利亞曰、昔耶和華甚不悅爾列祖、故當告民曰、萬軍之耶和華云、爾其返於我、我則返於爾、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、毋效爾列祖、古先知呼之曰、萬軍之耶和華云、轉離爾之惡途惡行、惟彼不聽、不從我言、耶和華言之矣、爾列祖安在乎、眾先知永存乎、惟我所命我僕諸先知之言詞典章、豈非及於爾列祖乎、彼則悛改曰、萬軍之耶和華欲依我所行所為、而施行於我、已若是待我矣、○大利烏二年十一月、即細罷特月二十四日、耶和華諭易多孫、比利家子、先知撒迦利亞、彼則曰、我於夜間、見有乘赤馬者、立於谷中岡拈樹間、其後有赤紅白色之馬、我曰、我主、此維何、與我言之使謂我曰、我將以之示爾、立於岡拈樹間者曰、此乃耶和華所遣、遍遊大地者也、彼眾遂覆立於岡拈樹間之耶和華使者曰、我儕已遍遊大地、見全地安居靜謐、耶和華之使者曰、萬軍之耶和華歟、爾怒耶路撒冷、及猶大諸邑、既歷七十年、不加矜憫、將至幾時乎、耶和華以善言慰語、答與我言之使、與我言之使謂我曰、爾其呼云、萬軍之耶和華曰、我為耶路撒冷與錫安、熱中特甚、我深不悅安逸之列邦、蓋我微怒斯民、彼則加以苦難、故耶和華云、我以矜憫而返耶路撒冷、我室必建其中、引繩於耶路撒冷、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、當又呼曰、萬軍之耶和華云、我之諸邑、將豐阜而盈溢、耶和華必慰藉錫安邑、遴選耶路撒冷焉、○我舉目而觀、見有四角、遂謂與我言之使曰、此維何、曰、乃散猶大以色列耶路撒冷之角也、耶和華以工匠四人示我、我曰、其來何為、曰、此角驅散猶大、以致無人昂首、斯人之來、使之恐怖、且擲列邦之角、即高舉以攻猶大、而散之者也、

彼必卓立、賴耶和華之力、與其上帝耶和華之威名、而牧其羣、使眾安居、彼必為大、至於地極、
