因為經上記著：「不能生育、沒有生產的女子啊，你要歡喜！沒有經歷臨產陣痛的女子啊，你要放聲呼喊！因為沒有丈夫的女子，比有丈夫的女子有更多的兒女。」

因为经上记着：“不怀孕、不生养的，你要欢乐；未曾经过产难的，你要高声欢呼；因为没有丈夫的，比有丈夫的儿女更多。”

因为经上记着说：“不能生育、没有生养的啊，你要欢欣！没有受过生产痛苦的啊，你要呼喊，大声呼叫！因为弃妇比有夫之妇有更多儿子。”

因为经上记着：“不能生育、没有生产的女子啊，你要欢喜！没有经历临产阵痛的女子啊，你要放声呼喊！因为没有丈夫的女子，比有丈夫的女子有更多的儿女。”

因為經上記着：不懷孕、不生養的，你要歡樂；未曾經過產難的，你要高聲歡呼；因為沒有丈夫的，比有丈夫的兒女更多。

因為經上記著說：“不能生育、沒有生養的啊，你要歡欣！沒有受過生產痛苦的啊，你要呼喊，大聲呼叫！因為棄婦比有夫之婦有更多兒子。”

因為經上記着說：『你這不能生育、沒有生產過的啊，你歡樂哦！你這沒受過產難的啊，你突破靜寂而呼喊哦？因為淒涼獨居的婦人、比有丈夫的、兒女還多。』

記有之、不妊不產者宜喜樂、未劬勞者宜歡呼、蓋煢獨者較有夫者、子更多也、

經云、不妊不生之婦、最可樂、未劬勞之女、歡聲而呼、蓋棄婦較有夫之婦、生子多矣、

蓋經載云、爾不孕不生者、當喜樂、爾未劬勞者、當歡聲而呼、蓋被棄之婦、較有夫之婦、生子更多、

經有之：『不妊不育之婦乎、爾可揚眉而吐氣矣。未經劬勞之女乎、爾可引吭而歡呼矣。無夫者之兒女、將多於有夫之婦者矣。』

For it is written:“ Be glad, barren woman, you who never bore a child; shout for joy and cry aloud, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband.”

It is written,“ Be glad, woman, you who have never had children. Shout for joy and cry out loud, you who have never had labor pains. The woman who is all alone has more children than the woman who has a husband.”( Isaiah 54:1)

For it is written,“ Rejoice, O barren one who does not bear; break forth and cry aloud, you who are not in labor! For the children of the desolate one will be more than those of the one who has a husband.”

As Isaiah said,“ Rejoice, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into a joyful shout, you who have never been in labor! For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband!”

For it is written, Rejoice, childless woman, unable to give birth. Burst into song and shout, you who are not in labor, for the children of the desolate woman will be many, more numerous than those of the woman who has a husband.

For it is written:“ Rejoice, infertile one, you who do not give birth; Break forth and shout, you who are not in labor; For the children of the desolate one are more numerous Than those of the one who has a husband.”

For it is written:“ Rejoice, O barren, You who do not bear! Break forth and shout, You who are not in labor! For the desolate has many more children Than she who has a husband.”

For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; Break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: For more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath the husband.

For it is written: Rejoice, childless woman, who does not give birth. Burst into song and shout, you who are not in labor, for the children of the desolate are many, more numerous than those of the woman who has a husband.

For it is written, Rejoice,[ thou] barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

「不能生育、未曾生產的女子啊，你要歡唱！未曾分娩的女子啊，你要放聲歡唱、呼喊！因為孤淒的女子比有丈夫的女子，將有更多的兒女。」這是耶和華說的。「要擴張你帳篷所在的地方，伸展你住所的幔帳，不要止住！要放長你的繩子，堅固你的橛子！因為你要左右擴展，你的後裔必占有列國為繼業，又在荒涼的城邑居住。「不要害怕，因你必不致蒙羞；不要愧疚，因你必不致受辱。你將忘記你青春時的恥辱，不再記起你寡居時的羞恥；因為造你的是你的丈夫，他的名是萬軍之耶和華；救贖你的是以色列的聖者，他被稱為全地的神。

他使不能生育的女人安居家中，成為有兒女的快樂母親。哈利路亞！

婦女們對娜娥米說：「耶和華是當受頌讚的！因為他今天沒有使你缺失有贖回權的近親。願這孩子在以色列得名聲！他必使你的靈魂甦醒，在你年老時供養你，因為他是愛你的兒媳婦所生的；對你來說，有她比有七個兒子更好。」娜娥米把那孩子接過來，抱在懷中，撫養他。

飽足的為食物受雇，飢餓的卻不再挨餓；不能懷孕的生了七個，兒子眾多的反倒衰頹。

她的哥哥押沙龍問她：「你哥哥暗嫩親近你了嗎？妹妹，現在你要保持沉默，他是你的哥哥，你不要把這事放在心上。」於是塔瑪爾淒涼地住在她哥哥押沙龍家裡。

娜娥米說：「我的女兒們哪，回去吧！為什麼要與我一起走呢？難道我腹中還有兒子將來可以作你們的丈夫嗎？我的女兒們哪，回去吧！走吧，我太老了，不會再有丈夫了！就算我說我還有希望，甚至今夜就有丈夫，而且生了兒子，難道你們會等到他們長大嗎？難道你們會為他們守住自己不嫁人嗎？我的女兒們哪，不要這樣！我的命比你們的更苦，因為耶和華伸手攻擊了我。」

那真正的寡婦，無依無靠，已經把盼望寄託於神，日夜不住地祈求禱告；

那時你心裡必說：『我既喪子，又不能生育，我被擄、被放逐，究竟是誰給我生了這些孩子呢？又是誰把這些孩子養大的呢？看哪！我被留下孤身一人，這些孩子究竟是從哪裡來的呢？』」
