神就赐福给它们，说：“要繁衍增多，充满海洋；雀鸟也要在地上增多！”

他又赐福给他们，使他们人口众多，也没有使他们的牲畜减少。

这样，耶和华后来赐给约伯的福比先前更多：他有一万四千只羊、六千匹骆驼、一千对牛、一千头母驴。

你看看河马吧，我造它像造你一样，它吃草如牛一般。

神赐福给挪亚和他的儿子，对他们说：“你们要繁衍增多，充满大地。

你的妻子在你的内室，好像多结果子的葡萄树；你的儿女环绕着你的桌子，好像橄榄树的枝条。

我眷顾你们，使你们繁衍增多，也必坚立我与你们所立的约。

愿我们的仓库满溢，各种粮食不缺；愿我们牧场上的羊群，孳生千万。愿我们的牛群满驮货物；城墙没有缺口，没有人出去争战（“愿我们⋯⋯出去争战”或译：“愿我们的牛群多生多养，没有流产，没有死掉”），在我们的街上也没有呼叫的声音。

耶和华所赐的福使人富足，并不加上愁烦。

愿人因耶和华的慈爱，和他向世人所行的奇事称谢他。

拉班对他说：“我若蒙你赏脸，请你不要走，因为我得了神旨，知道耶和华赐福给我，是因你的缘故。”

我没来以前，你所有的很少，现在却大大地增加了；耶和华随着我的脚踪赐福给你。现在，我什么时候才能兴家立业呢？”

神对他说：“我是全能的神，你要繁衍增多，必有一国和众国从你而生，又必有很多君王从你而出。
