God blessed them and said to them,“ Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

上帝給挪亞和他的兒子祝福說：『要繁殖增多，充滿全地！

你們呢、要繁殖增多，在地上孳生而增多。』

我必垂顧着你們，使你們繁殖增多，也必同你們堅立我的約。

創造諸天的、他乃是上帝；形成大地而造它的，他是堅立大地；他創造大地，不是空空虛虛；他形成大地，是要給人居住：這位創造天地的永恆主這麼說：『我乃是永恆主，再沒有別的神。

上帝就給它們祝福說：『要繁殖增多，充滿海中的水；飛鳥也要增多在地上。』

若不是永恆主建造房屋，建造的人就枉然勞碌；若不是永恆主看守城池，看守的人就枉然儆醒。你們早早就起來，晚晚才歇息，喫勤勞得來的飯，盡是枉然；因為主在所愛的人睡覺時，已賜給他了。看哪，兒女是永恆主賜的產業；腹中出的果子是他賞報的。青年時生的兒女、好像勇士手中的箭。箭袋充滿了箭的人有福啊！他們在城門口跟仇敵說話時，必不至於羞愧。

和你在一起凡有血肉的各樣活物，飛鳥、獸類、和爬在地上的各樣爬行動物，你都要帶出來，牠們好在地上滋生，在地上生殖而繁多。』

你妻子在你內室、像多結果子的葡萄樹；你兒女圍繞你的桌子、好像橄欖栽子。看哪，敬畏永恆主的人一定這樣蒙賜福。

我就必定大大地賜福與你，必定使你的後裔大大增多，如同天上的星，如同海邊的沙；你的後裔必佔領仇敵的城。地上萬國都必用你後裔的名來給自己祝福，因為你聽了我的聲音。』

雅比斯呼求以色列的上帝說：『哦，我是多麼切願你大大賜福與我，擴張我的境界，你的手常與我同在，你能有所作為、使我不遭災害，不受痛苦啊！』上帝就使他所求的成就。

他又給他們祝福，使他們生養極多；也叫他們的牲口不減少。

我必賜福與她，賜給你一個兒子由她而出：我必賜福與她，使她做多國之母；必有多族之民的王由她而出。』

至於以實瑪利呢，我也聽你所求；看吧，我已給他祝福；我必使他繁殖，子孫大大增多；他必生十二個族長；我必使他成為大國。

第六的是亞米利，第七的是以薩迦，第八的是毘烏利太；因為上帝賜福與俄別以東。

那一夜裏、永恆主向他顯現說：『我是你父親亞伯拉罕的上帝；你不要怕，因為是我與你同在；我必賜福與你，使你的後裔增多，都是為了我僕人亞伯拉罕的緣故。』

因着你父親的上帝——他必幫助你，因着全能的上帝——他必賜福與你：必將上面來的天福，將伏於地底下的淵泉之福，將胸哺胎生之福、都賜給你。

以掃舉目、看見婦人孩子，就說：『這些跟着你的是誰？』雅各說：『是上帝施恩給你僕人的孩子。』

你寄居在這地，我必與你同在，賜福與你，因為我要將這些地賜給你和你的後裔；我必實行我向你父亞伯拉罕所起的誓。我必使你的後裔增多、如同天上的星；我必將這一切地都賜給你的後裔；地上萬國都必用你後裔的名來給自己祝福。

他們就給利伯加祝福辭別，對她說：『我們的妹妹啊，願你做千萬人的祖母，願你的後裔佔領仇恨他們者的城。』

願天、地、海、和其中的一切動物、都頌讚他。

這樣、永恆主賜福與約伯的晚年就勝過他起初的：他有羊一萬四千隻，駱駝六千隻，牛一千對，母驢一千匹。

他們禁止嫁娶，禁戒食物，就是上帝所創造、給信徒和認識真理的人用感謝心享受的。
