Then God said,“ Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.”

he makes the skies reflect the heat like a bronze mirror. Can you do that?

You are dressed in a robe of light. You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens;

The Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens.

The Lord merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all the stars were born.

God stretches the northern sky over empty space and hangs the earth on nothing.He wraps the rain in his thick clouds, and the clouds don’t burst with the weight.

For when he spoke, the world began! It appeared at his command.

But the Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens.When he speaks in the thunder, the heavens roar with rain. He causes the clouds to rise over the earth. He sends the lightning with the rain and releases the wind from his storehouses.

Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully. His faithful love endures forever.Give thanks to him who placed the earth among the waters. His faithful love endures forever.

Then God said,“ Let the waters swarm with fish and other life. Let the skies be filled with birds of every kind.”

This message concerning the fate of Israel came from the Lord:“ This message is from the Lord, who stretched out the heavens, laid the foundations of the earth, and formed the human spirit.

The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship.

When Noah was 600 years old, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the underground waters erupted from the earth, and the rain fell in mighty torrents from the sky.The rain continued to fall for forty days and forty nights.

When clouds are heavy, the rains come down. Whether a tree falls north or south, it stays where it falls.

“ Have you visited the storehouses of the snow or seen the storehouses of hail?( I have reserved them as weapons for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war.)Where is the path to the source of light? Where is the home of the east wind?“ Who created a channel for the torrents of rain? Who laid out the path for the lightning?Who makes the rain fall on barren land, in a desert where no one lives?

His Spirit made the heavens beautiful, and his power pierced the gliding serpent.

He loads the clouds with moisture, and they flash with his lightning.

Then God said,“ Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years.

Praise him, skies above! Praise him, vapors high above the clouds!

But the Lord is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King! The whole earth trembles at his anger. The nations cannot stand up to his wrath.

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heaven!
