Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives everyone life and breath and all things.

You will eat bread by the sweat of your brow until you return to the ground, since you were taken from it. For you are dust, and you will return to dust.”

For He knows what we are made of, remembering that we are dust.

as long as my breath is still in me and the breath from God remains in my nostrils,

The first man was from the earth and made of dust; the second man is from heaven.

Everything with the breath of the spirit of life in its nostrils— everything on dry land died.

So the Lord God sent him away from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken.

But who are you, a mere man, to talk back to God? Will what is formed say to the one who formed it,“ Why did you make me like this?”

Furthermore, we had natural fathers discipline us, and we respected them. Shouldn’t we submit even more to the Father of spirits and live?

After saying this, He breathed on them and said,“ Receive the Holy Spirit.

The Lord’s lamp sheds light on a person’s life, searching the innermost parts.

All are going to the same place; all come from dust, and all return to dust.Who knows if the spirit of people rises upward and the spirit of animals goes downward to the earth?

For we know that if our temporary, earthly dwelling is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal dwelling in the heavens, not made with hands.

I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well.My bones were not hidden from You when I was made in secret, when I was formed in the depths of the earth.

a time to tear and a time to sew; a time to be silent and a time to speak;

Now we have this treasure in clay jars, so that this extraordinary power may be from God and not from us.

how much more those who dwell in clay houses, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed like a moth!
