Abraham agreed to Ephron’s terms and weighed out for him the price he had named in the hearing of the Hittites: four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weight current among the merchants.

Abraham agreed to Ephron’s offer. He weighed out for Ephron the price he had named. The Hittites there had heard the amount. The price was ten pounds of silver. Abraham measured it by the weights that were used by merchants.

Abraham listened to Ephron, and Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver that he had named in the hearing of the Hittites, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weights current among the merchants.

So Abraham agreed to Ephron’s price and paid the amount he had suggested— 400 pieces of silver, weighed according to the market standard. The Hittite elders witnessed the transaction.

Abraham agreed with Ephron, and Abraham weighed out to Ephron the silver that he had agreed to in the hearing of the Hethites: four hundred standard shekels of silver.

And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current[ money] with the merchant.

So Abraham agreed to Ephron’s price and weighed out for him the price that Ephron had quoted in the hearing of the sons of Heth– 400 pieces of silver, according to the standard measurement at the time.

Abraham listened to Ephron. Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the hearing of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the current merchants’ standard.

我对他们说：“你们若看为美，就给我工资；不然，就算了。”于是，他们称了三十块银子作我的工资。

我就向我叔叔的儿子哈拿篾，买下了在亚拿突的那块田地，称了一百九十三克银子给他。

不要欠人的债；但在彼此相爱的事上，要觉得是欠了人的债。爱别人的，就成全了律法。

把金子、银子和器皿，就是王和他的谋士、领袖，以及在那里的以色列众人献给我们神殿的礼物，都称了交给他们。我称了交在他们手中的银子，有二十二公吨，银器重三千四百公斤、金子三千四百公斤。金碗二十个，价值八公斤半；上好而发亮的铜器两个，像黄金那样宝贵。“我对他们说：‘你们是归耶和华为圣的，器皿也是神圣的，金银是甘心献给耶和华你们列祖的神的礼物。你们要谨慎看守，直到你们在耶路撒冷耶和华殿的库房里，在祭司长和利未人的领袖，以及以色列人的族长面前，过了秤。’于是祭司和利未人把称过了的金银和器皿收下，带到耶路撒冷我们神的殿里。

所以，你们愿意人怎样待你们，你们也要怎样待人，这是律法和先知的总纲。

重量单位的一‘舍客勒’是二十‘季拉’；二十‘舍客勒’，加二十五‘舍客勒’和十五‘舍客勒’、就是你们的一‘弥那’。

最后，弟兄们，凡是真实的、庄重的、公正的、纯洁的、可爱的、声誉好的，无论是什么美德，什么称赞，这些事你们都应当思念。

智慧不能用纯金购买，也不能称银子作它的代价。

以下就是他们当缴纳的；凡是属于那些被数点的人的，每人要照着圣所的标准献银子六克；这六克银子是归给耶和华的礼物。这重量是圣所用的标准重量（“这重量是圣所用的标准重量”原文作“一舍客勒是二十季拉”）。

后来我们来到住宿的地方，打开布袋的时候，不料各人的银子仍然在各人的袋口里，分文不少；现在我们手里又带回来了。

“我主，请听我说，一块值四百块（四千五百克）银子的田地，在你我之间，算得什么呢？你埋葬你死了的人吧。”

谁也不要在这事上越轨，占弟兄的便宜，因为这一类的事，主必报应。这是我们从前告诉过你们，又严严警戒过你们的。
